Why We Getting Married in Mexico?

As two people who share a love for travel, it only felt right to say “I do” in the place where our travelling journey began. Mexico was the first destination we explored together in February 2024, and it holds so many special memories—sunny days, adventurous moments, and the joy of discovering new places side by side. Choosing Mexico for our wedding is our way of honouring where it all started, and we can't wait to create even more unforgettable memories there with the people we love most.

What are the travel dates to attend?

Our wedding trip will take place from Wednesday, April 29th to Wednesday, May 6th 2026, giving us plenty of time to relax, connect, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings together. The wedding ceremony will be held on Monday, May 4th, so if you are booking not with our travel agent be sure to arrive in time to join us for the big day—and all the fun before and after!

How Much Will This Trip Cost To Attend?

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding in beautiful Mexico, and we’d love for you to join us! The total cost to attend will vary depending on where you’re flying from and how many people to your group, but to give you a general idea, here’s a sample package based on a departure from Vancouver: ✈️ Flight Details (Roundtrip – Vancouver to Cancun) Departure: April 29, 2026 – AC1314 | 08:10 AM → 4:15 PM Return: May 6, 2026 – AC1317 | 5:20 PM → 9:50 PM 🏨 Resort: DREAMS AVENTURAS (All-inclusive, 7 nights) $2,399 CAD per person (based on double occupancy, Deluxe Room with King bed, taxes included) $2,489 CAD per person (based on double occupancy, Deluxe Room with 2 Double Beds, taxes included) Prices include flights, accommodations, meals, drinks, and taxes. If you're flying from a different city, are rooming solo or with your whole family pricing will differ. Our travel agent Lindsay is eager to help point you in the right direction for personalized travel options!

Can I bring a plus 1?

We know that traveling as a pair is not only more fun, but also more cost-effective—and we absolutely welcome you to bring a plus one! Whether it's a partner, friend, or travel companion, you're welcome to share the experience with someone special. To give you an idea: Traveling as a pair is approximately $2,500 per person Solo travelers can expect to pay around $4,000 per person If you plan to bring a guest, please make sure to include their details when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly with the resort and our wedding coordinator.

How do we secure our spot to attend?

Your presence at our wedding means so much to us. To ensure everything is coordinated smoothly, we kindly ask that you complete the following steps to confirm your attendance: Step 1: Please complete the RSVP form located on our wedding website. This will help us provide an accurate guest list to our resort wedding planner. Step 2: Determine who you are rooming with. The room rates are based on double occupancies. you will be charged a lot more if you room solo, so bring a plus 1 or message Jasmine who can potentially room you with someone to help on costs. Step 3: If you are flying from Canada, please contact our travel agent, Lindsay Schile, by email to confirm your intent to attend the wedding of Kyle Helsloot & Jasmine Beaulac. Lindsay will then provide you with the appropriate booking link and next steps. She can be emailed at Lindsay@vacationsforheroes.com

Do We Have To Stay at Dreams Adventuras?

While our wedding will be held at Dreams Aventuras, you’re not required to stay at the resort to attend. That said, if you choose alternative accommodations (which we hope you don't), please note that the resort requires all outside guests to purchase a wedding day access pass in order to enter the property. This pass is an additional cost and will need to be covered by you. We’ll share more details about pricing and how to arrange the pass closer to the big day.

What if I do not live in Canada and want to attend?

No matter where in the world you're traveling from, we would be over the moon to have you celebrate with us in Mexico! If you’re not flying out of Canada you will have to contact your local travel agency to book your flights and accommodation as our travel agent can only book flights from Canada. Don’t let borders or logistics hold you back—we truly want you there and would be so grateful to share this unforgettable moment with you.

Where is the ceremony and reception being held?

We’ll be saying “I do” on a stunning rooftop terrace, surrounded by swaying palm trees with the ocean as our backdrop—a dreamy setting we instantly fell in love with. After the ceremony, we’ll head down to the sandy beach for a relaxed and unforgettable reception under the stars, complete with good food, music, and lots of dancing! We can’t wait to share this magical setting with all of you.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

We’d love for our wedding day to reflect the natural beauty of Mexico, so we’re asking guests to dress in semi-formal attire with a nod to nature. Think flowy dresses, dress shirts, light suits, or jumpsuits in earthy tones like greens, blues, and other soft, natural shades. We want everyone to feel comfortable and look great, so please skip the black tie—but bring your best beachside elegance! High Heels are not recommended as we will be on the sandy beach celebrating.

Are we required to buy a gift?

We know that traveling to Mexico is a big commitment and costly, your presence at our wedding truly means the world to us. Gifts are absolutely not necessary—just having you there to celebrate with us is more than enough. However, if you do feel inclined to give something, we’ve put together a small gift registry for convenience or any cash received will go towards our honeymoon fund! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this special journey with us!
