A tale as old as AOL instant messenger. Kyle and Erica first matched on a dating app, called Bumble in 2022. The pair began to get to know each other via text but after a few weeks, it was decided that they’d meet at Fair Oaks Farm for their first date.

Due to the severe weather, the Farmhouse restaurant was without power so the pair decided to head to Rensselaer for a bite to eat. While having lunch, the power went out a second time but the mac and cheese lunch was enjoyed by generator light. After that date, Kyle and Erica both felt a connection that was nothing like either one of them had experienced before.

Kyle and Erica continued to navigate life and their relationship long distance, making memories, raising Wyatt and bonding over trips to New Buffalo, Milwaukee, Folly Beach & New Orleans. Kyle and Erica share a love for travel, good food and exploring the sights and sounds of their chosen vacation destination.

In December of 2024, Kyle, Erica and Wyatt went to Fair Oaks Farms for their annual Christmas break stay but this weekend was different. Kyle PROPOSED and surprised Erica with a family and friends luncheon.

Kyle and Erica continued to navigate life and their relationship long distance but in March of 2025, found their forever home in Lowell, Indiana. Kyle and Erica have made countless memories in their last 3 years together as a couple and family; they are looking forward to making many more.
