Kyle & Joe met on June, 24th 2019.

Joe will tell you he convinced a cute guy from the internet to go throw sharp objects at a wall for their first date.

Kyle will tell you he thought he was in over his head when "Joe Kilt" from Tinder turned out to be much more attractive in person.

The two got paired with a family of four who were celebrating their parent's wedding anniversary. The dad of the family kept calling Joe "the big dog" the entire date. Kyle thought it was hilarious.

After the date, Kyle called his best friend Tim on the way home to tell him how incredible it was. Joe called his sister on the way home Sarah to tell her how incredible it was. Joe then called Kyle when he got home to tell him how much fun he had and that he couldn't wait for date number two.

When the world shut down due to COVID, Kyle was planning to visit Joe at his parent's house in Milford, MA. When he arrived, Joe's mom Fran told him he could stay with them "for a couple weeks" or that he wouldn't be able to see Joe "for a few weeks". As Kyle was living alone at that time, he elected to become a member of Camp Quirk and live with Joe & his family for the next few months.

After living together during COVID and not wanting to murder each other, Kyle + Joe started looking to buy a home. After a many open houses, a few "you were just outbid"s, and a house that utterly failed inspection, the two bought and closed on a house in Grafton, MA. They moved in on December 10th, 2022 and Grafton hasn't quite been the same since.

On May 21, 2022, Joe proposed to Kyle in St. John, USVI. The two of them met some fellow tourists from Ohio (hi Jeff, Diane, Anna, and Lindsey!) in Salt Pond Bay and Joe took that as the sign to propose.

Within an hour of proposing, the ring slipped off of Kyle's finger, and into the bay. Thanks to some snorkelers and calm waters, the ring was located about 30 min after it had been lost.

Kyle cried three times that day: when Joe proposed, when he lost the ring, and when Cooper (a middle schooler from VA) found it.

After Joe started his own business, he realized he was going to lose the insurance he was on and would need to go on Kyle's. As they had already planned this wedding in Maine, they elected to keep the same date (October 13th), and get married a year earlier. October 13th, 2023 happened to be a Friday and it felt too on-the-nose not to do something.

So, the crew gathered up a small group of local family/friends and got married in Salem, MA in the garden at the Ropes Mansion (the house where the Dennison family lived in Hocus Pocus).
