We met in January 2024 on a Christian dating app called Upward. What started as a few lighthearted messages quickly turned into a real friendship. We connected easily and had a lot of fun getting to know each other. Megan thought Kyle was thoughtful, fun, and great at conversation, and Kyle immediately appreciated Megan’s joy, humor, and kindness.
There was just one problem… Megan was only home in Pennsylvania for winter break and had to head back to Lynchburg, Virginia for school. But a few weeks later, after lots of texting and phone calls, she made the trip back up for our first date.
We went to a sports pub for dinner (where Megan ordered a very messy quesadilla and handled it like a champ), and then we went to a Phantoms hockey game. It was relaxed, fun, and we both really enjoyed being together — so much so that we made plans for another date the very next day at Dave & Buster’s. From there, we continued talking and going on dates.
We officially started dating in March, and over the next year, we made countless trips between PA and VA, got to know each other better, sharing our values, our stories, and making our own memories together.
Then, on July 5, 2025, Kyle proposed during a sunset walk on the beach in Cape May, NJ.
We love sitting together, playing spikeball with friends, hiking, hanging at the beach, and being silly with each other. We also enjoy encouraging each other in our faith and serving those around us.
Most of all, we’re excited to enter into the covenant of marriage, to pursue Christ together, serve our neighbors, and build a home centered on Christ, our solid rock.
After the wedding, we’ll be living in Easton, PA and are excited to get plugged into a local church and community. We’re so grateful for your love and support and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
