Like most Alberta stories, we moved to Calgary for work opportunities not thinking it would become our forever home. Mara moved in August 2016 and Kyle moved in March 2019.

We met at a games night hosted by Miranda in March 2019. Unknown to Kyle, Miranda had shared on a ski trip with Mara that her best friend's little brother was moving to Calgary and that she had a feeling they would hit it off.

Hit it off we did because by August 2019 we moved into our first basement suite together. After two basements suites we bought our home in January 2022, got engaged in Vegas October 9 2022 and started our family with our trial dog baby, Fraser, in September 2023.
