From Sydnaya's Perspective
Kyle and I were both basketball players at DWU. We crossed paths at a party in early March 2020, and from that moment on, our lives changed forever. Kyle, being the shy guy he was, asked one of his basketball teammates for my snapchat. Though he never messaged me. Soon after the party, the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020 began, and we found ourselves confined to our homes. It was during those long days of isolation that Kyle finally mustered the courage to Snapchat me. Our conversations quickly moved from text to phone calls, and before we knew it, we were talking for hours on end. It wasn't long before Kyle insisted on seeing me in person, and I couldn't deny that I was eager to meet him face to face.
That Mother's Day weekend, Kyle made the drive from Corsica to Sioux Falls to spend time with me. He even brought my mom a mothers day bouquet (brownie points to him). The next time we hung out, he gave me a gift basket and a card asking me to be his girlfriend. It was a moment I'll never forget, and it marked the beginning of our journey together. Now, four years later, here we are, on the brink of becoming Mr. and Mrs. Menning. It's been an incredible journey, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
