Kyle and Jenna met online during Covid on May 24th, 2020. Jenna wasn't looking for a relationship at the time, but Kyle took a liking to her the second he laid eyes on her. After hanging out a few times and Kyle unintentionally meeting her parents, Jenna knew she was falling for him. After knowing each other for less than a month and Jenna's parents expressing their approval of Kyle, he asked her out on June 16th, 2020. Of course, she HAD to say yes!

Kyle and Jenna started looking at engagement rings at the beginning of 2023. Jenna said she didn't need anything fancy or expensive, but she LOVES sparkles, so she couldn't help liking the more expensive ones. That summer, Jenna found a ring box in the filing cabinet, so she knew Kyle would ask the question soon. On August 20th, 2023, Kyle asked if we could dress up for church that day. Jenna had a feeling that that meant today was the day, but she kept asking Kyle what their plans were for the day, and he kept telling her that he didn't have any. That being said, she started losing hope that today was the day. As the day went on with Kyle watching football like he does every Sunday, he asked Jenna and her mom if they wanted to take Goomba (Kyle and Jenna's dog) on a walk. This was a normal Sunday occurrence, so Jenna didn't think anything of it. Little did she know, an hour before the walk, Kyle told her mom what his plan was and asked her to record the big event. They all started walking their usual route around the pond, and when they got to the railing that overlooks the fountain, Kyle said, "I wonder if there's a plaque over there about the fountain." Jenna thought it was a little strange, but she agreed to go check it out. Just then, Goomba started chewing on some sticks and gravel. Being the 5-month-old puppy that he was and trying to teach him that he can't just eat everything, Jenna asked Kyle to help get everything out of his mouth. As they both bent down to tend to Goomba, Jenna's mom said, "You guys are so cute! I'm going to take some pictures!" Again, Jenna didn't think anything of it because she was so focused on her dog. Little did she know, her mom was actually starting to record. Using Goomba as his wingman, Kyle asked, "Do you really want to take care of him for the rest of our lives?" Confused, Jenna laughed and said, "What? Do I want to take care of him...?" Her voice trails off and she freezes as she watches Kyle pull out a ring box and get down on one knee. They both tear up as he asks the question, and of course she said YES! He puts the ring on her finger, kisses her, and wraps her in a big hug. They're both so excited for this new adventure together and can't wait for their big day!
