Where it all began... Clara, Sarah, and Lucas were attending a wedding together and decided to brainstorm potential suitors for Clara (Lucas was determined to get Clara "wifed up"). They eventually texted Lucas and Sarah's friendly new upstairs neighbor, Kyle Preston. Fortunately, the moment when they crafted the text was caught on camera!

After getting coffee with Lucas ONCE three months prior, and not talking much since, Kyle received this text on a random Saturday evening. He had never officially met Sarah but apparently made a good impression. After mulling it over for 4 hours he said yes. Praise God :)

Kyle and Clara finally got their first picture together on their third date, thanks to Clara's roomie Laura who initiated the selfie. They went to see the Christmas lights at the Cincinnati zoo!

Clara invited Kyle to join her bible study for ice staking at Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. They used it as an excuse to hold hands for the first time! 👀

After going on many delightful dates, Kyle finally asked Clara if he could start introducing her as his girlfriend. She happily agreed.

The first time Kyle visited Orient and met Clara's family!

One of the first times Judah sat on Kyle. They were wary of one another at first, but Kyle is learning to embrace the cat dad life he is inheriting.

The second time Clara visited Indy to see Kyle's family (minus Allana)! We forgot to document the first trip. Pretty typical of us.

Clara visited Kyle's old stomping grounds at Indiana University when they attended the 2025 Little 500 bicycle race, which Kyle had raced in years prior. It was more fun than Clara expected :)

Kyle finally proposed, and Clara said yes!!! It somehow remained a secret despite Kyle telling everyone about it ahead of time.

After touring three wedding venues, three days in a row, Rolling Meadows took gold! Clara and Kyle sealed the deal with a celebratory meal at Culvers.

Clara's Dad, Chris, took their engagement photos at the wedding venue. The Lord blessed them with a rainbow and beautiful sky! :)

Clara and Kyle celebrated one year together by visiting Eden Park, the location of their first date and engagement :)
