Kyle and Rebecca met when they were placed on the same Senior Design team during their last semester at Penn State. This senior design team became quite the experience for both of them throughout the entire semester. Becca had a basketball class before most of their meetings and therefore showed up in gym clothes and sweaty. While Kyle usually showed up quite tired from being out at the bars the night before. As the semester went on the entire five member team became quite close. Eventually Kyle and Becca, as well as fellow team members Guilherme - Kyle's bestman - and Justin, began to frequent the bars in order for more team bonding. Near the end of the semester both Kyle and Becca found out they were both going to be moving to the Midwest and were excited that they would only be 6 hours away from each other.

What better place to pop the big question than at the place that brought them both together. Kyle thought of an idea, but needed to get some help along the way. A few weeks before the planned football weekend trip to Happy Valley for a night game, Kyle reached out to Becca's high school friend, Kiley to see if she would be able to make it to State College to help out. Kiley was thrilled to be a part of the plan. Kyle had it all planned out on what she could do to help and when they were going to get into town. On the weekend Kyle and Becca returned back to State College, and as they were enjoying a Friday evening outside at one of their favorites bars Cafe 210, Kyle was sneakily texting Kiley to make sure everything was set for Saturday morning. Kyle had saved Kiley's number in his phone as Mike so Becca thought he was texting another friend about Saturday tailgates. When Saturday came, Kyle woke Becca up fairly early (which she was not pleased about) to go to what she thought was a tailgate in the Rec Hall parking lot - there are not too many good tailgates that far from the stadium. Kyle's parents dropped them off below the Industrial Engineering building so they could walk up to the Rec Hall parking lot. As Kyle and Becca rounded the corner of the IE building, Becca noticed some writing on the sidewalk and as she got closer she could clearly see that what was written on the ground was for her. Written on the door step of the place where they first met, and what brought them together, was "Becca, will you marry me?" Kyle got down on his knee and asked the big question. As you can see, Becca said yes and couldn't believe it, then Kiley came out from inside of the building and Becca was speechless. She couldn't believe Kiley was there to share this moment, and better yet, Kiley was able to capture some great pictures of the moment.
