Grace and Kyle met through mutual friends during their first year at Purdue. What started as a friendship became something more after the numerous group dates, constant snapchatting, and what is known as “the prank wars”. Although the two were just friends they both agreed the prank war saga was an excuse to see one another. One of the first pranks played was thought up by Grace and her roommate Marissa. Marissa called Kyle after his baseball practice and frantically said “Grace needs to go to the hospital! She cut her finger open!!” Obviously, within 5 minutes Kyle was knocking on their door ready to help. To his surprise, he walked into a plate full of ketchup (blood) and knew it was a setup. This is when Grace began to see Kyle’s big heart…and also what started the prank wars.
By sophomore year everyone knew Kyle was trying to make a move, but Grace convinced them she wasn’t interested. Even Grace’s mom Marla, knew something was up with the boy she made eye contact with at every home volleyball game that year. The two continued to talk and hang out but it wasn’t until Marla told Grace to trust her heart and not push away something good that she decided to give Kyle a real chance.
A couple weeks later the two decided to move out of the friend zone and the rest is history. They both credit their love to the friendship that was built first. They enjoy traveling together, hanging with friends and family, and taking long walks. They are excited to take on the challenges, excitement, and everything in between together.
