Our Wedding

While many have given up on the traditional "meet-cute" often portrayed in movies, neither Kyle or Julie had given up quite yet in the winter of 2021. Our story begins at a country swing dance in Brookings on January 22nd, 2021. Though neither of us were looking for anything in particular that night, it didn't take long for Kyle to catch Julie's eye, and we were quickly out on the dance floor together. Our first date took place just 1 week after meeting, eventually leading us to many memorable times together as a couple, including several country swing dances in Brookings, Vermillion, and Sioux Falls, two road trips to Frisco, Texas to cheer on the Jacks in FCS National Championships, and many nights in the field during planting and harvest seasons. As we spent this time together, it became increasingly difficult to imagine a future without each other in it. Our future together became a reality when Kyle proposed in a corn field amid the post-harvest field work on November 18th, 2023. While we shared many exciting moments together as a couple, we are most excited for all the adventures we will experience as husband and wife.
