FAQ's

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy, our wedding will be an adults only occasion. We thank you for your understanding! Children may attend our Welcome Event on August 30th.

Where will the Wedding events take place?

The ceremony will be at Sonshine Chapel and cocktail hour will be on the deck of the Hazel Dillon Lodge. Both are outdoors in a shaded area, fans and bottled water will be provided (we understand that August in NE may be a bit hot, so we will try to be as accommodating as possible). The reception will be indoors in the Hazel Dillon Lodge which is air conditioned.

What happens after the ceremony?

The ceremony is taking place in Sonshine Chapel which is directly adjacent to the Hazel Dillon Lodge. After the ceremony, guests will head to the deck of Hazel Dillon for cocktail hour to grab some charcuterie and drinks. Our bar will be parked near the deck, it is The Drive Bar, a cutie vintage camper converted into a mobile bar.

How do I get to the venue?

We reccommend using Google Maps and typing in Carol Joy Holling Offices. This will take you to the little office building pictured on the map below. Then, you will need to follow the main road until you reach Hazel Dillon Lodge. There will be signage posted as well as a map located at the entrance. Please drive slow and watch out for wildlife!

Where can I park?

There is a large parking lot right outside Hazel Dillon Lodge.

Will you be providing transportation?

We reccommend planning ahead to make sure you have a safe ride, we will not be providing transportation. Please drink responsibly ;)

Why Carol Joy Holling Camp?

This is where we met, starting dating, fell in love, and got engaged. We couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive between 4:00pm-4:15pm to ensure that you have time to park and get seated before we begin at 4:30pm.

What should I wear?

We are getting married outside and at a summer camp but still would like to keep the vibe elevated. To give you an idea, our wedding party will be wearing tuxes and fun multicolor dresses. The dress code is formal/semi-formal.

How will food and drinks be served?

Drinks will be served by the fabulous Drive Bar during cocktail hour and throughout the evening. Beer, wine, and 2 signature drinks will be hosted, any other drink requests will be cash bar. We will have water and NA beverages provided as well. During cocktail hour we will have charcuterie. Dinner will be served buffet style, menu TBA.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Please indicate this on your RSVP and the caterers will be able to accommodate this.

Will there be dancing?

Yes! We love to dance and hope you will all dance with us!

How can I help the couple have the best time during their wedding day?

We are so excited for our day and hope you are too! Seeing our friends and family exicted and having a good time would make it all the more special for us! Please mix/mingle, dance, and enjoy!

Is the area accessible to everyone?

The ceremony space is unfortunately not the most accessible to those with reduced mobility or balance, however, we want to do all we can to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. The ceremony space is a wood chipped area with wooden pews. For those who would be more comfortable in a chair, we will have some chairs lining the side of the pews. Our ushers will also be happy to lend a helping hand! The cocktail hour and reception space are both completely accessible.
