If you ask Jimmy's parents, it all started back in 6th grade when he carried my music stand off the stage after a band concert. If you ask Jimmy, it all started on the last day of 5th grade when we met on the playground. If you ask me, it all started on a church trip to Valleyfair the summer after 6th grade. The real story... two junior high sweet hearts who started "dating" after an 8th grade dance. Country music, Taco Johns, and sporting events swept us through our high school days. I'd like to think Skype and frequent flyer miles had a lot to do with the success of our long distance relationship throughout college... but you know that cliche saying 'distance makes the heart grow fonder'? You guessed it, you never realize how much you love someone until you're 8 hours apart for four years of your life and you are more in love than ever.
It's crazy that four years flew by and before we knew it, we were both off to Chicago to start our careers and finally live in the same city together after what seemed like four long years apart. Big round of applause to my friends and Jimmy's friends for putting up with us... I mean me. I have to admit... Jimmy and I knew marriage was in our future, but I had told him the one day that I never wanted to be proposed to on; Christmas. Can you guess the day he proposed to me on? Yup, Christmas. You bet I was surprised.
Here we are, two junior high sweet hearts from small town Minnesota living in the Windy City tying the knot. We can't wait to celebrate with you!!
