Like all modern love stories, ours began on a dating app.

From the very beginning, Dillon stood out with his goofy charm and genuinely kind heart. Kylee was sweet, thoughtful, and had just the right amount of sass to keep Dillon on his toes. It didn't take long for us to hit it off and plan our first official date.

Dillon told Kylee he'd show her around Cedar Falls since she had just moved to town. Sound great, right? Well... the grand tour included getting ice cream and then sitting at a dog park -- even though neither of us had a dog. (Five stars for effort, though.)

Four years later, here we are--still laughing, still exploring, and still going on dates that don't always make perfect sense but are always perfect for us. We spend our days watching TV, playing Frisbee golf, traveling to visit friends and family, and hanging out with our cats, Mouse (yes, Mouse is a cat--we like to keep things interesting), and Zuko!

Dillon proposed at the Iowa State Fair, during the fireworks, in the exact spot he used to watch them as kid. It was a moment full of love, nostalgia, and just the right amount of sparkle.
