Our Wedding

After Garrett and Kylee moved back home to Atlanta, GA after graduating college, Georgia Southern University for Kylee, and the University of West Georgia for Garrett, they started their postgrad jobs. The two met on October 29, 2022 at a Halloween party at Neighbor’s Pub in the Virginia Highlands in Atlanta. Sorry moms, they met at a bar! Kylee was with her friends from work and college, and Garrett was with some friends that he knew from college. They met by chance when their friends began talking and Kylee inevitably met Garrett. Kylee was dressed as a mermaid and Garrett was a football player, and they actually have a picture from the first night they met (and go back every year to take a picture in the same place)! After introducing themselves, they realized that they had more in common than they thought. They hit it off, and when Kylee’s friends were ready to leave, she assumed that she would probably never talk to the cute guy from the bar again. Thankfully, Garrett reached out Kylee to continue the conversation. After three months of persistence, Garrett finally got Kylee to agree to a first date (she made him work for it!). That first date ended up hours longer than the two expected. They had an instant connection, both leaving that date with raw excitement as they knew there was something special between them. In a strange turn of events, there was a photographer at their first date spot, so the two have some fun pictures from their first date! Garrett and Kylee fell in love date after date and inevitably became best friends. After many moves from Woodstock, Sandy Springs, and Suwanee, Garrett and Kylee have shared countless memories. Over the years, they have traveled to many states and beaches together and have started a beautiful life. And the rest was history! On April 5, 2025 Garrett proposed to Kylee with the help of their friends and family at Big Door Vineyards, and she said YES! Followed by a surprise engagement party, they were showered with love and adornment by their closest friends and family. The two have loved and supported eachother for almost 3 years, and cannot wait to love and support eachother for the rest of their lives! As they start to plan their wedding, they are so excited to build a wedding website that shows their love to their closest friends and family. The future Basses are so excited to spend their special day with you, and are so thankful for your love and support along the way. This is not our venue. For out-of-towners, this is a beautiful and upscale resort that features a spa, golf course, and winery. This is approximately 15-20 minutes from our venue!

While there are several options for hotels in the area, we also recommend looking at Airbnb and VRBO if traveling with multiple family members. We look forward to celebrating with everyone!

Travel

Topgolf is a fun place to bring the family to golf in a netted setting. Enjoy a meal and/or drinks here or visit one of the many restaurants nearby! Located by the Mall of Georgia, Topgolf is only about 15 minutes from the hotels that we provided room blocks for :)

Enjoy the day before our wedding by golfing at a beautiful golf course! One of Garrett's favorite things to do; this golf course sits on Chateau Elan and is the perfect course to spend some time outdoors and admire North Georgia's scenic landscape.

Spend some time shopping or enjoying one of the many restaurant options in nearby Buford. Only about 15 minutes from the hotels near our venue, the Mall of Georgia is the perfect place to spend some time before the big day!

Spend the afternoon relaxing at Chateau Elan's winery and/or spa with your friends and family! This is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and get a massage.

This is a formal event and we would love to see our friends and family dressed up with us! The dress code is black tie optional/formal for all guests. For women, this includes a formal midi or full length dress. Since this is a spring wedding, please feel free to wear florals or spring pastels. For men, suits would be appropriate. Please do not wear white :)
