Their story began in the most modern way, through Instagram. She was from Silex, he was from Louisiana, and yet God found a way to bring them together. He added her on Snapchat, and for a while, they exchanged snaps and conversations, slowly building a connection. But in her mind, he was “too hot” for her, so she eventually moved on to someone else. He always claimed that she broke his heart. Years later, out of the blue during a college football game, while he was walking around delivering mail, he sent her a Snapchat. That simple message changed everything.

They began reconnecting through their shared faith, reading the Bible together over FaceTime and keeping God at the center of their relationship. At the time, they were living far apart and did long distance for about a year and a half. Eventually, they moved closer, just 45 minutes apart, which felt like a gift after spending so long apart. Now they live in a beautiful home in Bowling Green together and couldn’t be more grateful!

During Christmas break in 2021, she returned home and worked at Backroads, where they finally met in person. The moment she knew he was the one came when he left her a generous tip, nearly double the cost of his bill. It wasn’t just the money, but the thoughtfulness and generosity behind it. From that point forward, their bond only grew stronger, and on May 9th, 2022, they officially began dating.

Since then, they’ve shared many adventures, walking hand in hand through life’s highs and lows. One of the most meaningful seasons of their relationship came when he stood by her side during her mother’s cancer journey. Through laughter, tears, prayer, and countless memories, they built a love rooted deeply in faith, kindness, and unwavering support.
