The Shaadi (Wedding) is the culmination of all the pre-wedding rituals, where the bride and groom are united in marriage through a series of sacred rituals. One of the most significant moments is the Jaimala, where the couple exchanges floral garlands, symbolizing their acceptance of each other. They will then take seven steps around the sacred fire (Agni), known as Saptapadi, where each step represents a vow of love, loyalty, and mutual respect. During this time, the groom ties the Mangalsutra, a sacred necklace, around the bride’s neck, symbolizing their eternal bond. The ceremony is filled with blessings from family and friends as they offer prayers for the couple’s prosperous and happy life together.
