How do I RSVP for events?

When you receive your invitation, insert the URL into Google and it will take you right here! With your RSVP, you can respond for everyone in your party.

When is the RSVP deadline?

RSVP for the ceremony and reception are due by April 30th. We ask guests to kindly RSVP as we will not assume everyone can attend. Thank you!

Can I bring my partner or guest not listed on my invitation?

We are so happy to celebrate everyone who has made us who we are! Unfortunately, we are at capacity with our venues, which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests not indicated on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Are you registered? Where should we ship your gift?

We are registered at Amazon. We have created a registry page on this website to make it easy to find what you like! Our shipping addresses are set up, and you do not need Amazon Prime to utilize our free two-day shipping! If you would like to send us gifts outside the registry, you can send them to 2018 Fairway Dr, Auburn, IN 46706 to Alec A'Hearn and Kylie Clawson or you can bring it to our reception! If you are unsure what to pick, we also have a cash fund for our honeymoon. Thank you to everyone for helping us move in and begin our lives together!

Where is the wedding taking place?

The ceremony will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The reception will be at The Charles (The Shiloh). Please be sure to visit the RSVP page to let us know you are attending! Below are links for Google Maps navigation to the locations. For full directions, open these links and select "Your Location" for the starting point line (above the destination address).

What time is the wedding? What time is the reception?

The ceremony will begin at 2 pm, so please plan to arrive five to ten minutes ahead. The Charles will open the doors for the reception at 5:30 pm at the East Wing entrance (facing Carroll Road). A sign with our name will be posted by the door! Parking at both venues is free.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Our wedding ceremony is a religious event, so please dress accordingly. Our dress code is black-tie optional. Ladies, please expect to wear a floor-length gown, fancy cocktail dress, or dressy separates. Gentlemen, please expect to wear a formal suit and tie. Please avoid t-shirts, jeans, and other casual wear. Guests who dress inappropriately may be asked to return with better-suited attire by the event staff. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I take and/or post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We love photos! However, we do ask you refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony and grand exit to prevent distractions. Remember, the ceremony is part of the Mass, a sacred event, and photography from guests is not allowed. We would like this time to remain focused and unplugged. You will receive pictures from the ceremony after we receive them from our amazing photographers. You will know we have them when they appear on the website or you see them posed on Facebook and Instagram. Please feel free to take pictures and videos during the reception and upload them to our shared digital wedding photo album.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? What weather can we expect?

Most of our day will be spent inside, except for our grand exit from the church and the garden at The Charles. Please note that the cocktail garden is 21+ only and ID will be checked. The weather in the late spring is always unpredictable here. Hopefully, it will be as warm and bright as our new marriage! Below is a link to Fort Wayne's local weather.

What should we expect after the ceremony?

The Mass will be over around 3 pm. Afterward, please move to the sidewalk outside the church for our grand exit. The immediate family and wedding party will be taking pictures between the ceremony and the reception. Guests can enter The Charles from the East Hall entrance at 5:30 pm. Please be sure to visit the RSVP page to tell us you are attending! The addresses and directions to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and The Charles are provided above.

How is the parking at the venues?

Both St. Vincent de Paul and The Charles have plenty of parking! For the ceremony, please park in the main lot south of the church and head to the south or east doors into the gathering space. The is handicap-accessible parking closest to both these doors. The labeled satellite map is provided below. For the reception, please use the Carroll Road entrance to the main parking lot and use the East Hall entrance.

Yes! As provided above, there is wheelchair-accessible parking at both St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and The Charles. St. Vincent's has accessible power doors at the main entrance, however, the doors from the gathering space into the church are not, but will be propped open before the Mass starts. There will be ushers helping everyone find places to sit, if you need help during the ceremony, please ask them and they will be happy to help! What type of food and drink will be served during the reception?

We are keeping busy with our planning! We will answer this common question soon!

Will there be an open bar?

The bar at The Charles has a beautiful full bar! We will be providing beer, varieties of wine, and a signature drink for guests over 21 years old. Please expect to show ID if you appear under 30 years old or you will not be served. The cocktail garden is also open for guests over 21. All alcohol must be purchased through The Charles, and none may be brought to the premises by Indiana law (even that sneaky flask!). We are excited to have a drink with our favorite people! However, if you would like anything else, it is a cash bar. The Charles accepts cash, credit, and debit and can run a tab if you would like.

Where can I find pictures from your proposal, engagement, and wedding?

We have set up a photos page so everyone has access to download our favorite full-sized images right on this website! We will continually update this page as we receive photos from our amazing photographers. To download an image, go to the Photos tab and click on a photo. Then, right-click (or touch and hold if you are using a cell phone) and click download image. If you would like to send us images or videos from our special day, please email them to Kylie at kyliesurfnet@gmail.com.
