Kylie and David’s love story began in the spring of 2022 when their families persuaded them to reach out to each other online. Although Kylie’s Aunt Annie had known David’s family for several years, Kylie and David had never crossed paths until Annie’s step-daughter and her husband (shout out to Meghan and Matt!) decided to play matchmaker on Easter. David was living in California at the time, so he and Kylie began texting, calling, and FaceTiming each other every night following their initial “hello” over Facebook. They quickly bonded over their mutual love of scary movies, traveling, and dancing the night away! Kylie really started to catch feelings when David shared that he had discovered the perfect number of Goosebumps episodes to watch every day during the month of October to finish the entire series by Halloween (their favorite holiday). In June, Kylie flew out to Ventura to meet David for the very first time in person. They shared their first date at a seafood restaurant near the ocean, and the rest was history!

In December, David proposed to Kylie on New Years Eve in Gatlinburg, TN after a LONG series of unfortunate events (cancelled flights, lost decorations, trouble finding their cabin, bad weather, etc….). Although it was not exactly the way David had planned it, it was still romantic, intimate, and perfect in every way!

Today, Kylie and David are still enjoying dinners together by the ocean in Jacksonville, Florida. They love competing against each other in Mario Party, playing trivia at Lynch’s Irish Pub, discovering live music on the weekends, and slow dancing in their living room to 1960s/70s love songs.
