Chris and Kylie first crossed paths in their final year of college while pursuing their Master’s Degrees in Accounting in 2022. Fresh off summer internships with their current employer, they were excited to dive into their last year at K-State.

Interestingly, they had never taken an undergraduate class together, despite both being involved in Greek Life at K-State without ever interacting during their earlier years.

Fast forward to 2021: both had settled into neighboring houses along Laramie Street in Manhattan, KS, ready for an eventful year ahead. This housing decision would later have a significant impact on their friends and family.

To Chris, Kylie was the quintessential "girl next door." Over the months in Manhattan, they grew closer, enjoying each other’s company through outings that included golf, and visits to local restaurants.

What began as casual college flirting blossomed into a loving relationship. On October 13, 2021, Chris asked Kylie to be his girlfriend at the Top of the World in Manhattan, marking a special moment in their budding romance.

They continued to date throughout their final year, celebrating their graduation together with a memorable photo after walking across the stage (see above). As they embarked on their careers, they traveled, laughed, and created lasting memories with family and friends, growing closer as a couple over the next 2.5 years.

Feeling ready to take the next step, Chris decided it was time for Kylie to become his wife. He proposed on April 27, 2024, in their apartment after a delightful afternoon at Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City. The proposal was met with excitement, as family and friends secretly gathered at their apartment complex for a post-proposal celebration.

Now, Kylie and Chris are thrilled to be starting their new life together, eagerly anticipating a beautiful wedding celebration in the Kansas City area with their loved ones.
