Kayla Garwood - Maid of Honor
Kayla (better known as KG) and I grew up across the street from each other and have been best friends for over 20 years! We have been through everything together and even lived together for two years in college. I can't imagine anyone else standing by my side on my big day! I love you a million red m&m's!
Derrik Skidmore - Best Man
Derrik and I have been friends since elementary school. We grew up right down the road from each other. Since we were little our friendship has grown by each passing year. We have had too many great times to remember! From our Junior High Basketball pregame tapes with Josh, our walks home from the Greene to his house, or Reds Spring Training in Arizona. He has been by my side from day one and can't wait to have him standing next me on my big day.
Brent Overfield - Best Man
Brent has been one of my best friends since I was in first grade. My mom babysat him while he was in Kindergarten. Our friendship started on a rocky note when he would play with all my Power Rangers while I was at school (I refused to take them out of the box because it would take the collectors value down.) He didn't come clean about this until we were in high school. If our friendship can make it through such a travesty like that I know our friendship will last until we're old men living in the same retirement community.
Lauren Bruggeman - Matron of Honor
Lauren (Lo) and I went to the babysitters (her aunt) together when we were super young! We then lost touch with each other and ran into each other one night at the Bowling Alley in Jr. High and have been best friends since! We can often be found laughing uncontrollably. I am so thankful for her friendship! I love you Lo!
Chanin Mettey - Bridesmaid
Chanin is my big sis! We are 16 years apart but I wouldn't trade our friendship for the world! We just get each other! Our inside jokes are some of my favorites and we always have a fun time no matter what we are doing! Love you sis!
Josh Haburn - Groomsman
Growing up Josh and I were mortal enemies until we got into Junior High and he sat behind me in our English class. From that point on we have been friends ever since. Josh likes to take all the credit for all of my basketball talents which I can't argue. Trying to guard him at practice everyday was a tall task for me . Josh went to Urbana as well our Freshman year which consisted of playing Perfect Dark on Nintendo 64 all the time which he dominated in...I will beat him one of these days.
Justin Netherly - Groomsman
Justin and I went to high school together but never really knew each other. We were at a party at Josh's house after college and we started to talk music and he convinced me to start lifting with him. I totally forgot about the conversation until I was at work on Monday and Justin text me letting me know he would pick me up at 6 and we'd go to the gym. We spent almost every day together for 3 years lifting weights, listening to weird music, watching Drive a million times, and talking about life.
Janae Hess - Bridesmaid
Janae is also my big sis and we are 13 years apart! She always makes me laugh and would do anything for me! She has been though a lot and is one of my biggest heros. I can't imagine getting married without my sisters by my side! Love you sis!
Troy Smith - Groomsman
I met Troy at Urbana and played soccer with him. He is easily one of the most goofy and funniest people I have ever been around. We were roommates for 2 years which consisted of playing MLB The Show on PS2 for hours, watching Lost religiously, sitting on the roof having heart to hearts, him forcing me to listen to country music constantly, and singing James Taylor "Fire and Rain" to each other after nights out.
Kayla Morrison - Bridesmaid
Kayla (KM) and I have been best friends since Jr. High! I lived with her and her husband (Tyler) during their first year of marriage! I called them "mom and dad" lol She has always been someone I can go to about anything, at anytime and I am forever thankful for that! Love you!
Rick Schnipke - Groomsman
I met Richard at Urbana and played soccer with him. Rick and I had surgeries at the same time my Junior year and had to sit out the soccer season which consisted of us watching the boys practice, eating way to much Taco Bell, and eating a giant OSU cookie from Wal-Mart while watching Ace Venture Pet Detective and going into a sugar coma. Rick also coined of the most used phrases amongst our friends..."Guys...don't go to the bar...what am I gonna do?" I said once when all of my friends were 21 and I wasn't. Thanks for that Richard....
Summer Carey - Bridesmaid
Summer and I met in gymnastics almost 20 years ago and have been best friends ever since! We have always made an effort to stay in touch with each other even though we didn't live very close to each other. Then we ended up living together in 2010-2011! Summer always makes me laugh and we have so many memories and inside jokes together! Love you Summy!
Sierra Bruner - Bridesmaid
Sierra and I didn't become friends until college (even though we knew of each other before) when I got her a job with me at Wright State! We were roomies for a year in college and instantly became best friends when our sarcasm matched perfectly! I've never met someone who gets me like Sierra does! Love you so much!
David McCaig - Groomsman
David was my Assistant Soccer Coach my Senior year at Urbana. David and I didn't really form a friendship other then on the field until campus had no water and I offered him to come to my house to stay until it was fixed. After that week it's safe to say David and I were friends! We had great times at Stingers watching football on Sundays (even though he's a Steelers Fan), Dave is from Scotland and has an accent so my senior year I served as his translator whenever we would be out because for some reason people couldn't ever understand what he was saying.
William Daniels - Groomsman
Will was my first friend at Urbana. We played soccer together and it's safe to say William is one of the most stylish people I know. He has set many trends such as slimon (salmon pants with a lime great shirt), wearing a fanny pack to all of our away games Freshman year (which made him our team mom and he always had everything anyone could ever need in that thing), and his amazing shoe collection (that is missing one in the creek in Urbana...RIP.) Will and I used to have Whisky Monday's in which we watched Scrubs and had a nice glass of whisky and Will cooked for me.
Julia McBride - Bridesmaid
Julia and I met in college when we worked together at Wright State and ended up living together our sophomore year. That year was probably one of thee most fun years I've ever had! Julia and I always have thee best time when we are together! Love you Juls!!
Jordan Griffith - Bridesmaid
Jordan and I have been best friends since 4th grade! We seem to always find ourselves doing a whole lot of nothing and having a blast doing it! Jordan has always been there for me, no matter what and I will forever cherish our friendship. Love you 270!
Jared Morgan - Groomsman
Jared moved to F-M our Freshman year of high school and I think it's safe to say we didn't like each other at all when we first met. Fortunately for me someone told me I should go talk to the "new guy" at lunch one day and it started a great friendship. We played soccer together and I don't think he ever scored on me ever in practice...sorry buddy! I'll always remember re-watching our tournament game we lost Sophomore year and getting in a fight saying the other person lost the game for us. If you were curious it was his fault because he missed his PK and I saved 2!
Kristen Garwood - Bridesmaid
Kristen is KG's little sister, so she was also my neighbor during my childhood and I always thought of her as my little annoying, bratty sister who I still loved lol But as we got older she became one of my best friends and moved in with me in August 2015! Kristen and I are a lot a like and often get mistaken for sisters! I love you!! P.S. Micah writes a lot...
Christopher Horstman - Groomsman
Chris went to Urbana and we played soccer together. Chris and I lived in the same tiny one bedroom apartment my Senior year and he would routinely wake me up for class by playing Killswitch Engage on his guitar with the amp on as loud as it would go. He wouldn't stop playing until I acknowledged that he was playing one of my favorite songs. At least once a week we could have TB DVD night (get Taco Bell and watch a DVDs.) I think we watched the same 3 or 4 movies and quoted them the entire time. Safe to say not many people could tolerate watching movies with us.
Aaron Bieniek - Usher
Aaron and I went to Urbana and played soccer together. I can still remember Aaron being on the phone with his now wife while we would be playing video games my Freshman year and he would end the conversation with his classic line "I miss you, I love you, and I'm sorry" even though he wasn't in trouble he hadn't done anything wrong haha. I may have to take that line to make sure I have a long happy marriage. Aaron was well known for his amazing goal celebrations like the "T-Rex" which was a sight to see!
Eric Miller - Usher
Eric and I met at Urbana and played soccer together. We were roommates for a year but our friendship really started my Freshman year when I would go to his place and we would watch Laguna Beach together religiously! During warm ups before games Eric would always hit the most unreal shots when he was supposed to be warming me up. No matter where he was on the field he would yell at me to give him the ball even if it was physically impossible. He was always convinced he was open.
