We met the modern way - by Eric sliding into my Facebook messages inquiring about the weather. Plagued with intrigue by one of the most lack luster pick up lines I had ever heard; I couldn't help but respond - and from there the rest truly is history. Within a few weeks of dating, Eric was hauling a trailer out west to first drop steers off for a sale, and then pack up all of my belongings to move in together in Iowa. There was a few more moves and job changes in between, but the one thing that always remained constant was the love we had for each other and our two mutt dogs, Maverick and Sunny. There is absolutely nothing traditional about our story, but I think it serves as a true testament of our resilience, love and dedication to each other. Sappy and sentimental is for sure not our thing, but as cliche as it might sound, we simply could not imagine our life without each other.
