Kylie & Steve will arrive in Samoa on Thursday 17 August 2023 @5.10am.

What is the arrival date?

Brisbane Guests - Arrive 17 August @5.10am. Sydney Guests - Arrive 19 August @5:15pm.

When is the Wedding?

Wedding Ceremony - 4.30pm Monday 21st August 2023 Wedding Reception - 6.30pm Monday 21st August 2023

What is the Departure date?

Brisbane Guests - Depart 24 August @6.10am. Sydney Guests - Depart 26 August @6.05pm.

Where is the accomodation?

Is Breakfast Included?

Daily breakfast is included in the accomodation

When is my flight?

Flights are booked and paid for by Kylie & Steve. Flight details have been provided to all Guests. Flights will be departing from Brisbane and Sydney on different days due to flights being available only on certain days from each airport.

Airport Transfers

Transfers to/from Apia Airport have been booked for each guest. The resort shuttle bus will be doing the transfers.

Can I upgrade my flights?

Yes. If you wish to upgrade your flights, please let Kylie know. Any changes will be at the cost of the guest.

Visa Requirements

You can apply for a 90 day visitor permit on arrival, using the passenger arrival card. Entry and exit requirements can change at short notice. You should contact the nearest High Commission/Embassy or Consulate of Samoa for the latest details. The traveller must: Hold a passport valid at least six months beyond intended date of departure from Samoa, with two blank visa pages.

Local Laws?

The legal drinking age is 21. Same-sex relationships are not recognised in Samoa and consensual sex between men is illegal. Samoan society is conservative. Avoid public displays of affection. Samoa has conservative dress and behaviour standards. Take care not to offend. Sunday activities are extremely limited and alcohol can't be sold (don't worry, you just can't buy it from a bottle shop, you can still purchase alcohol at the Resort ).

Do I need to be vacinated?

Still current at:17 October 2022 Updated:04 October 2022 Latest update:Samoa has lifted all COVID-19 related travel restrictions. Weekly flights to and from Australia continue.

Costs

Kylie & Steve will be covering the costs of flights to/from Samoa and the accomodation. We will also provide transfers to/from Apia Airport.

Gifts?

No gifts please - we have everything we need. The most important gift you can bring is you!

Health

Hospital and medical facilities are limited in Samoa. Patients may need to be transported by air to Australia or New Zealand for medical emergencies. Make sure your travel insurance covers medical evacuations. Samoa has a high COVID-19 vaccination rate. Samoa experienced a measles epidemic in 2019. Make sure your vaccinations are up-to-date before you go. Insect-borne diseases include dengue and chikungunya. Ensure your accommodation is insect-proof. Use insect repellent. Samoa has had outbreaks of zika virus. If you're pregnant, discuss your travel plans with your doctor. Foodborne, waterborne and other infectious diseases include typhoid, hepatitis, filariasis and tuberculosis. Drink boiled or bottled water. Avoid raw or undercooked food.

Money?

The local currency is the Samoan Tala (WST). Declare amounts over WST 20,000 when you arrive and depart. This covers all forms of currency, not only cash. You can change money at the airport on arrival and find ATMs in the major centres. Credit cards can be used at most resorts and large shops. Not many small businesses accept credit cards.

The weather in Samoa in August ranges from tolerable to pleasant depending on the destination. August is a month with warm maximum daytime temperatures around 30°C and nighttime temperatures around 23°C in Apia. Temperatures can be very high, so be prepared and make sure to pack light clothes.
