Getting Here

As one of the nation and the world's busiest airports, Denver International Airport, is the best option to fly into if you are traveling. We recommend renting a car at the airport so you can explore everything the state and city has to offer, but if you only plan to explore locally there are plenty of ride share options(Uber/Lyft). Denver also has a great light rail system that takes you directly from the airport to Union Station downtown and from there you can get to almost anywhere you need to go.

Shuttles will be at the south side of the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows to shuttle guests to Villa Parker at 4pm. The shuttles will be at Villa Parker to shuttle guests back to the hotel at 10pm and 11pm.

WOODIE FISHER1999 Chestnut Place Denver, CO 80202 The oldest remaining structure in Denver’s iconic Union Station neighborhood, historic Hose House No. 1 was one of the first fire stations in Denver. Established as a volunteer fire station in 1881, before the City of Denver created a paid fire department, it has been lovingly restored and re-imagined as an iconic, inclusive kitchen &amp; bar. Fun fact - this is where we had our first date and where Nick threw a surprise engagement party after proposing.

Hiking

Our favorite hikes that are close to Denver and friendly for all levels:- Saint Mary's Glacier- Chief Mountain- Independence Mountain *Please use All Trails when looking up hikes to make sure it is within your ability level. Please also always check the weather as afternoon storms in the mountains can turn deadly quickly. Lastly, stay alert for wildlife, especially moose and black bears.

Denver

There are a million things you can do in Denver, but here are a few of our favorites. Located in the heart of downtown Denver,&nbsp;Coors Field&nbsp;is one of the best places to catch a baseball game. While our team hasn't been the best in the last few years, we like to buy rooftop tickets and experience some of the best mountain views in Denver. Experience a lovingly restored beaux-arts landmark know as Denver Union Station. While this is an active train station connecting downtown to the wider Denver/Boulder area, it is much more than just transportation hub. Towering ceilings, arched windows, and glittering chandeliers are second only to charming shops, chef-driven cuisine. Our personal favorite for a couple of drinks is the The Cooper Lounge, but there are plenty of other amazing options from coffee to fine dining. Larimer Square was the city’s first block, first commercial district, first city hall and was the city’s first designated historic district. This area is closed down to cars and full of restaurants, shops and bars. Make sure to get a picture with the iconic flags and lights. The Denver Zoo has over 3,000 animals across their 85 acre campus. Lions, tigers, bears and more are kept in unique exhibits with the focus on conservation and local Colorado creatures. The Denver Botanic Gardens at York Street have a wide range of gardens and collections on 24 acres that illustrate an ever-widening diversity of plants from all corners of the world. Exhibits include gardens of the west, internationally inspired gardens and water gardens.

Near Denver

Red Rocks Amphitheater

Red Rocks is a geologically formed, open-air amphitheater that consists of two 300 foot monoliths (Ship Rock and Creation Rock). The dramatic sandstone monoliths serve as a history book of animal and plant life in the area for the past 250 million years. Red Rocks hosts some of the biggest names in music, which is why it’s also one of the most popular music venues in the country. You can visit Red Rocks at any time during the day and see the venue and walk around the numerous trails.

Golden

Golden, Colorado's first capital, celebrates its Old West history and mountain location with a trendy downtown filled with galleries and recreation shops. Sip a beer at an outdoor café, while kayakers float by on fast rushing Clear Creek. You can also "Taste the Rockies!"&nbsp;by taking a tour of the Coors Brewery. The world's largest brewing site still uses the same Rocky Mountain spring water that Adolph Coors discovered in 1873. Self-guided tours show every step in the brewing process and end with free samples for those over 21.

Mount Evans

Mount Evans Scenic Byway, the highest paved road in North America, climbs 9,000 feet from Denver, passing through five life zones en route to the 14,264-foot high summit. This is one of Colorado's 54 fourteeners (peaks that climb to 14,000 feet and above), and one of only two in the nation that you can drive up. Stop at&nbsp;Echo Lake&nbsp;along the way for hiking trails, fishing, picnic tables and an unusual eight-sided log cabin restaurant.

Boulder

Home to the&nbsp;University of Colorado,&nbsp;Boulder&nbsp;has been described as the "the city nestled between the mountains and reality." A recent study pegged it as the "happiest" city in America. You'll find out why when you stroll past the shops, cafes and street performers on the&nbsp;Pearl Street Mall, or take a hike on the city's 200 miles of trails.

Colorado Springs

Explore towering red rock formations with&nbsp;numerous hiking trails&nbsp;and viewpoint pull-offs in the&nbsp;Garden of the Gods. If you want to go higher then head to the summit of Pikes Peak. The 14,115-feet of the mountain&nbsp;that inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write America the Beautiful. You can get to the top via a&nbsp;tour, a scenic drive and the famous Pikes Peak Cog Railway. If you want more of an adrenaline rush try a ride down the&nbsp;whitewater of the Arkansas River. Local rafting outfitters will help you navigate the rapids from mild, family floats to heart-pumping advanced adventures, there is a section of the water for everyone. If you are an animal lover, then the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a must. Here you can feed giraffes, elephants and rhinos, walk around with penguins and wallabies, an even take a chairlift ride over the exhibits to see the animals from a different angle. For the sports fan, Colorado Springs is also home to the&nbsp;U.S. Olympic &amp; Paralympic Museum and the&nbsp;U.S. Olympic &amp; Paralympic Training Center.

Keenesburg

If you love animals like we do, then The Wild Animal Sanctuary should be on your bucket list. The Sanctuary's two primary missions involve rescuing and caring for animals and educating people about the Captive Wildlife Crisis.&nbsp;They offer a completely different experience than what most people are used to at a zoo.&nbsp;The rescued animals live in large acreage open habitats that are viewed from an elevated walkway over the habitats. Every Lion, Tiger, Bear, Wolf and other animal living at the Sanctuary was rescued from an illegal or abusive situations, like roadside zoos, illegal pets and over 150 animals from the Tiger King situation.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Colorado's No. 1 attraction,&nbsp;Rocky Mountain National Park, offers an unforgettable trip into the heart of the Rocky Mountains. More than 350 miles of trails meander to valleys of wildflowers, thundering waterfalls, high alpine lakes and craggy, snowcapped peaks. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous highway in the world with panoramic views in all directions. See elk, moose and bighorn sheep, while hawks and eagles circle overhead.&nbsp;National Geographic&nbsp;named Rocky Mountain National Park one of the top trips in the world in 2014. At the entrance to the park, the historic resort village of&nbsp;Estes&nbsp;&nbsp;Park offers shopping and dining. Our favorite hikes in the park are:- Bear Lake- Alberta Falls- The trio of Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes- Lake Haiyaha
