Our Wedding

Justin &amp; I met while working across the walkway from each other at the Ocean Reef golf club house — a golfer and a bartender exchanging simple “hi” and “bye” waves. At the time, that was all we knew of each other. Justin eventually decided that a wave wasn’t enough. So, in a very Justin way, he sent his coworker over to ask me the all-important question: “Are you single?” (Apparently, he was too nervous to ask himself — but I think it just adds to his charm.) Shortly after, he was asking if he could take me on a coffee date (because he already knew about my love for coffee). But, before that date could happen, we ended up hanging out a few times — going to the gym together, him teaching me how to golf, and even waiting for the New Year to begin… which is where we shared our first kiss under the fireworks. When we finally did go on our first “official” date, it didn’t quite go as planned. We skipped the coffee and walked to a little Florida Keys restaurant instead. A few minutes into reading the menu, I couldn’t help but blurt out the big question: “Are you going to judge me if I order chicken tenders?” If you know me, you know that chicken tenders are always my go-to — and luckily, he didn’t judge me at all. From that first date on, we never wanted to leave each other’s side. The conversation was effortless, the nerves were peaked, the laughs were contagious, and we both could feel just how meant to be we were. Justin officially asked me to be his girlfriend at a Florida Panthers hockey game — and of course, I said yes. From there, we made countless memories: cheering at more hockey games, taking vacations and traveling, golfing (lots of golfing), going to the gym, spending time with both of our families — something we both value deeply — and even moving in together and making our first place a home. Fast forward to June 2nd, 2025, after a very rainy day in the Keys… Justin brought me back to the place where it all began: Ocean Reef. And there — standing under the gazebo, my gilmore girls dream — he asked me to be his forever. And of course, I said yes.
