Our Wedding

IT ALL STARTED IN THE SAND...   We met at a church sand volleyball night, where a shared sense of humor, a competitive spirit (okay, maybe just Kylor’s), and an easy connection had us hitting it off right away. We kept trying to have a conversation between matches, though we’re still not sure how focused we were on the actual game. From the very beginning, it just clicked. A week later, we ended up at a Zac Brown Band concert at Ruoff—surrounded by friends, great music, and maybe a little concert chaos—and somewhere between the singing and laughter, something special began.   From the very start, we’ve felt that our meeting wasn’t just a happy accident—it was God’s hand at work. We believe the Lord brought us together at exactly the right time, and we’re so thankful for the way He led us to each other.   Over the past two years, we’ve built a relationship full of adventure, deep conversations, and plenty of fun. We’ve road-tripped through bourbon country in Kentucky, rung in the New Year in New Orleans, explored Brown County and Madison, Indiana, and soaked up the sun in Cabo. Whether cheering each other on at a Spartan race in Michigan (Lauren from the sidelines, Kylor in full beast mode) or enjoying slow mornings on family vacation in Silver Lake, every experience has brought us closer—and given us some pretty great stories along the way.   Then, on a beautiful spring day—April 27th, 2025—Kylor took Lauren by surprise at Coxhall Gardens under the rouse of scouting photo spots for family pictures. With two close friends secretly there to capture the moment and cheer us on, he got down on one knee and asked the easiest question Lauren’s ever had to answer. Afterwards, we celebrated with both of our families who were waiting (and maybe peeking at their watches) at a nearby restaurant.   We love a lot of things about each other—our shared sense of humor, our love for family, and how much joy we find in simply doing life together. Whether we’re traveling, watching movies, or just sharing everyday moments that make us laugh, we’re better together. We are constantly in awe of the Lord's faithfulness, His timing, and His goodness in bringing us together.   After the big day, we’ll be heading off on our honeymoon to St. Lucia—a dream trip and a bucket list destination we’ve both been excited to experience. We can’t wait to kick off this next chapter with sunshine, ocean views, and a little bit of adventure.   We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you and feel incredibly grateful to have you by our side!
