Our Story

MIDGINGIL ECO RESORT252 Midginbil Rd, Midginbil NSW 2484Midginbil Eco Resort is a 400 acre farm nestled in the most beautiful green valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. It is a spectacular location just 1hr from the Gold Coast Airport.We have a variety of accommodation onsite to suit our older guests, people travelling interstate or overseas. There is no need to contact Midginbil to RSVP as accommodation will be allocated by us once we have received everyone's requests. Please keep in mind while we will try to give everyone what they desire, there are only a limited number of individual rooms at The Homestead and The Lodge. Older and travelling guests will be allocated accommodation as first preference. We will advise when and what payment is due depending on your accommodation and the duration of your stay. FACILITIES:&nbsp;Midginbil have an iron and ironing board located in the lodge common room. They also have a few hair dryers they can loan to guests if they require.&nbsp;If you choose to camp there will be showering facilities with hot water available. All prices listed are per person for 2 nights including meals &amp; drinks (tea &amp; coffee) for the weekend, We understand not everyone will stay for both Friday and Saturday nights, for those wishing to stay only one night prices will be less. All accommodation enquiries for the wedding are to be made directly to us. Please do not contact Midginbil Hill as you will be directed straight back to us. There is a lot of information here, so please don't hesitate to email or text us any questions, particularly regarding booking accommodation.

CAMP

Midginbil campground is in beautiful natural surroundings, intersected by a small meandering creek with plenty of shady sites. Facilities include amenities block.Caravans and campers are most welcome and all sites are un-powered. We apologise, but domestic pets are not allowed due to the abundant wildlife.&nbsp;Unpowered Campsites - $170 2 nights (Fri &amp; Sat) per person Per child (4 – 12 years): $80 for 2 nights Under 4 years: Free of Charge

LODGE

FULLY BOOKEDNext to the main house queen or family rooms further away from the reception area for those wishing to retire early from the party. Each room has its own ensuite. Limited individual rooms so the family rooms suited to those happy to share.&nbsp;All linen, including towels etc. are supplied&nbsp;﻿&nbsp;The Lodge - $270 2 nights (Fri &amp; Sat) per person for 2 nights &amp; $220 per child for 2 nights ﻿Extra adult $220 and &amp; Per Child $110 for 2 nights

BELL TENTS

There are ten bell tents scattered along the creek. The tents have a queen bed, solar powered fans, lights and USB charger. Staying in the bell tents you will need to use the campground amenities.Bell Tents $260 per person for 2 nights

ROSE MANOR

Rose Manor is a brand new cabin , built to look quirky, rustic and country styled. It is located between the bed and the barn amenities under the canopy of the rainforest.The cabin has a queen bed, kitchenette &amp; ensuite.&nbsp;Rose Manor $690 for 2 nights (twin share)

BUNKHOUSE

Double bunk style rooms, each with their own bathroom, that sleep up to 10. It is very unlikely that we will need all the beds so each room will not necessarily need 10 people in each, guests can spread out amongst the 8 rooms. Great for the younger crowd or a family or group happy to share.&nbsp;Bunkhouse - $210 for 2 nights (Fri &amp; Sat) per person Per Child: $100 per child for 2 nights The Bunks do not include linen and towels, you can pay and additional $40 per person and that can be included or you can supply your own.

GLAMPING TENTS

FULLY BOOKEDLimited glamping tents are available that have a luxurious queen bed, ensuite bathroom and a verandah with wonderful views out over the Valley. It is a reasonably steep climb of 50 metres up to the tents but is well worth the effort. These have been put a side for the Bridal Party. Glamping – $690 2 nights (Fri &amp; Sat) for 2 people&nbsp;

Accomodation

There is a tennis court, swimming pool and plenty of room to run around on the property. If you have access to a car, you can visit waterfalls, and look around small towns like Uki and Nimbin. THE LODGE HOUSE – THE CENTRAL HANG-OUT HUBThe Lodge House is a historic homestead built-in 1906. Everyone is invited to use the Lodge House over the course of the weekend as the central hub for meals and socialising. Next to the Lodge House, you will find a swimming pool and tennis courts available to enjoy! OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTESBeing situated in such a secluded location, Midginbil Hill has phone reception for Telstra only. The house does have a landline which can be used for emergencies or for parents that need to check up on their little ones at home. Midginbil Hill is listed as an Advanced Ecotourism Resort, so all national park rules apply.

Things to Do

Accommodation?Please read the accommodation options, make a decision and let Harrison or Kym know what accommodation you would like. We’ll then confirm accommodation costs with you. If it doesn't make sense please call or email and we can explain.Kym - 0433 259 942Harrison - 0401 750 013 Please confirm accommodation by the 30th January 2022 What do I need to bring?Your wedding outfit, everyday clothes for Friday-Sunday, swimmers/tennis racquets/hiking shoes for activities, and - if you’re staying at the backpackers or camping - a pillow, sleeping bag/linen, and towel (if you choose to exclude the linen package in the bunks). Campers will obviously need a tent, swag or van, etc. BYO drinks in an esky for Friday as we supply alcohol on the Wedding day. Can I bring my own food?Meals are catered for over the weekend but if you wish to bring snacks you are more than welcome. All dietary requirements are catered for. Enjoy having a break from cooking! Please note that all accommodation pricing includes your food for weekend. There is no option to stay without the food package. What's a 'low waste' wedding?We are trying to minimise our impact and waste at our wedding. We would really appreciate everyone's help to achieve this by putting any recycling in the appropriate bins and picking up any waste (especially cigarette butts) and placing them in the bins which will be provided. Are there powered camping sites?Unfortunately, there are no powered sites but everything you will need is available at the Lodge House. Can we choose our rooms?All of the glamping tents and lodge rooms have been tentatively allocated to family, elders &amp; our bridal party. Upon RSVP’s being received, final arrangements may adjust slightly but we will try our best to meet all your requests. Please note, all other accommodation will be arranged in a first in first served basis but there are plenty of beds available and we will organise you with people you know. How do we book?Once RSVP’s are received, we will be able to finalise the rooms for everyone. Total costs for guests are to be transferred into our account by 19th January 2022. Depending on what accommodation you choose will depend on how much. Once we have received your RSVP we will contact you in regards to accommodation. All enquiries, bookings and payment for Midginbil Hill are to be made via Kym &amp; Harrison. Are the ceremony and reception in walking distance?All guest will need to travel a short distance by car between the ceremony and reception. However, all accommodation is in walking distance from the reception location. All cars will travel in convoy from the Lodge House at approximately 2:45pm. Is there phone reception?Midginbil Hill has little phone reception, so be ready to switch off.
