How We Met

We met on May 5th, 2023, introduced by a mutual friend, at a bar in downtown Athens, Georgia, named “1785.” Bonding over our shared interests, from animals to farming, we connected right away.

First Impression

Evan’s sense of humor, respect were the qualities that first struck Kym. And we cannot forget about his beard!

For Evan, he thought she was as beautiful inside as she was out! Too nervous to think about asking for her phone number, he first asked for her Instagram handle.

Dating Journey

Despite living in Tifton, Kym and Evan started having FaceTime dates, talking and laughing until the early hours of the morning. FaceTime dates and three-hour drives on the weekends quickly became the norm as Evan and Kym began their journey together. Throughout our time together, our support for each other, as well as our goofy senses of humor deepened the bond we share. From checking cattle to dog sitting and even driving an excavator, Kym and Evan not only support each other in their individual dreams, but also work side by side to help one another achieve these goals.

The Proposal

Evan proposed on May 5th, 2024, exactly one year after we met. During Kym’s graduation photo shoot, with close family from all over the world present, Evan worked with the photographer to orchestrate the perfect moment to surprise Kym with a proposal!

Future Plans

From singing in the truck, cheering on cornhole contests, or spending time with our pets, Layla, Kiki, and Bartolo, we cannot wait to continue the rest of our lives together! We are excited to build a cozy home together full of hugs, love, laughter, and plenty of pet fur!
