Nick and Kyra matched the day before Valentine’s Day 2021 and went on their first date a week later. Nick invited Kyra over to cook dinner and even though it took four hours for the wintertime pesto to be ready, they laughed and talked the whole time. It was love at first bite!

Over the past three years, they bonded over their love for food, cooking and wine and continued to grow closer in their interests. Nick introduced Kyra to his beloved Chelsea Football Club and they spent many Saturday mornings cheering on London’s Finest. Kyra introduced Nick to family dinners at the Hubble House that seat no less than 14. In June of 2022, Nick and Kyra decided to open their hearts and adopt Leila, their husky/border collie mix. Since then, Leila has brought daily joy and many activities into their lives together.

In May of 2023, Kyra and Nick traveled to Italy, backpacking through 30 cities mostly in Sicily, while staying in Airbnb's with some very memorable hosts. As it was Kyra’s first time out of the country, she was thankful for Nick’s extensive planning and ability to speak Italian.

Unbeknownst to Kyra, one of Nicks plans included a stop in Erice, a tiny medieval hilltop town located on the island of Sicily. Upon their arrival, they rode the gondola to the city and met a 60 year old Italian man named Giuseppe, who was tasked with taking them to their Airbnb in his old blue panda Fiat. Once they arrived to the home, they unpacked and went to find some lunch. That afternoon, they wandered the entire city and found themselves in a beautiful park overlooking the Sicilian countryside. That evening they decided to walk to dinner and stopped by a little bar for pre-dinner aperitivi. While at the bar, Nick said, “Lets go back to that park again and take some sunset pictures.” Kyra replied, “Sure!”, unaware of what was coming. They walked to the same lookout as before and while Kyra was taking in the scenery, Nick knelt down and asked Kyra if she would spend the rest of her life with him. She quickly replied “Of course!”.

Since that Feburary day in 2021, Nick and Kyra have shared so many adventures creating lifelong memories along the way. We look forward to sharing our wedding day with all our loved ones and continuing to create lasting memories with each other, our family, and our friends.
