Every love story starts somewhere — ours just happened to start with a radio, a badge, and a whole lot of 911 calls. James was the new guy in police training, and I was the cool, calm, and collected dispatcher (or at least pretending to be). He walked into dispatch like he owned the place, and somehow, walked right into my heart too. From that day on, it’s been nonstop laughter, inside jokes, and plenty of sarcastic banter. We’ve mastered the art of turning ordinary moments into hilarious memories, and no one makes me laugh harder (or feel safer) than James. He’s my partner in crime — minus the crime — and the guy who always knows how to make me smile. Now, let’s talk about The Proposal. Picture it: Worlds of Fun, twinkling lights, hot chocolate in hand, and me — getting progressively more annoyed because James was glued to his phone. I was this close to giving him a lecture… until I realized he was secretly texting my mom to make sure she was ready to film the big moment. Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee by the fountain — and suddenly, all was forgiven! And here we are — ready to say “I do” and kick off a lifetime of love, laughter, and probably a few more sneaky surprises.
