Lacey had first laid eyes on Liam the night before they officially met. It was a Friday in September and the lacrosse team was attending a party at an off-campus house. As the night went on, everyone was singing and dancing to 2000s throwbacks. Lacey spotted a handsome gentleman dancing on an elevated surface. She instantly became determined to find out his name. After interviewing many friends and party-goers, she learned that this was a sailor named Liam McCarthy who took her breath away. With this new knowledge, Lacey immediately grabbed her best friend, Dawn, to make a plan of action.

The following night was Saturday. Everyone was preparing to attend an all-campus outdoor party. Dawn would act as the “lost and concerned best friend”, as she stumbled up to Liam to ask, “Have you by chance seen my best friend, Lacey Brown?”. Meanwhile, Lacey would be strategically watching from behind two 6’ tall basketball players. Just as Liam was about to answer Dawn’s question, Dawn flashed Lacey the ~signal~. Lacey abruptly ended her conversation with the ballers to frolic her way over to Dawn. At that very moment, Dawn would say, “THERE you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!”. Lacey would laugh and play along, but would then turn to Liam and say, “Oh hey, I don’t think we’ve met.” And the rest is history…
