What attire should I wear for the reception?
Casual! It will be hot, we will be outside at a park, and the goal is just have fun and spend time with each other. No formal wear of any kind is needed or expected. Just wear whatever you would wear if you went to a park with your friends and family.
Can I arrive early or stay late?
Yes. Be warned that if you arrive early, you might be tasked with helping setup, and same if you stay late :) Really though, it is a public park which is open from dawn to dusk. We have the pavilion reserved for the entire day, so if you are having fun and want to spend more time with family and friends, feel free to stay!
Are kids welcome?
Yes! All are welcome :)
What will the venue be like?
We will be at a public park in a pavilion with picnic tables. The park has a large playground, some interesting ruins to check out, hiking trails, and large open fields.
When is the wedding ceremony and am I invited to that?
This event is only a wedding reception/celebration. We got married in late March with only our immediate family, but we still want to celebrate with our extended family and friends!
Do you have a registry?
Yes, we do, and there should be a tab on the website to find that. First, there is no expectation that you get anything for us. Just your presence is enough! Second, we ask that you not get us any physical gifts. We already have too much stuff, and it probably wouldn't fit in our luggage :)
Where should I park?
There are multiple parking lots in the park. Please refer to the map for parking information and the location of the pavilion.
I have dietary restrictions. Will there be food for me?
Yes, the food will be able to accommodate most dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). If you have specific questions or concerns, please reach out.
Is there anything I should or should not bring?
While there are a number of picnic tables for seating, bringing a camp chair could be helpful incase there isn't quite enough seating. Hopefully, you won't need it!
There is a small water feature that small kids may enjoy playing and splashing in, so anything you might want for that.
Please do not bring any alcohol as it is not permitted at the park. We will be providing some drinks, but if there is a specific, non-alcoholic drink that you would like to have, feel free to bring it.
Do I need to stay at the pavilion with the group the whole time?
No! Please enjoy what the park has to offer at your own leisure. There are small trails, a playground, ruins to explore, etc. Feel free to wander and enjoy the area.
