Somers, under the pretense of being at work, left for the afternoon as Lacey continued going about her day. After getting a haircut and retrieving Lacey's engagement ring, Somers returned to the Philadelphia area. Lacey had an evening aerial class to attend. It was during this time that Somers and his brother Connor returned to the couple's apartment building. After gathering refreshments for what was hopefully a spirited aftermath, the two brothers and the couple's bulldog Fiona went onto the roof of the building. There was a note left behind on the door handle to direct Lacey to the roof upon her return from class. With Connor positioned with video and photo responsibilities under control, Somers stood waiting with Fiona at his side for Lacey's eventual arrival. When she finally reached the roof, the sight of her two-year old bulldog was all she saw down the narrow corridor leading to the spacious opening of the roof. After making her way down, Lacey finally encountered Somers who waited, anxiously. After Somers went about some initial pleasantries and some of what the moment meant for him, he knelt down and revealed to Lacey the engagement ring (hopefully) crafted to her liking. A swift acceptance and subsequent embrace followed the couple's most meaningful moment to date. The group retreated down to the apartment where the happy couple's parents awaited. A champagne toast among the family punctuated a magical night.
