Our story began in May of 2020 when we met through a dating website. At that time, Lacey was living in Clay Center, KS and Zach in Gibbon, NE (3hrs away). They shared many phone conversations before Zach decided to road trip to Kansas to meet Lacey in person. Zach's friends thought he was a little crazy, but despite other people's opinions he made the trip anyways. After their first "date", many road trips occurred to and from Clay Center and Gibbon. Lacey and Zach enjoyed sitting next to the fire listening to music or experiencing different breweries around the areas.

Despite the world being in a pandemic, Lacey and Zach planned their first vacation together in August 2020. They spent a week on the road traveling to the Badlands then to Yellowstone, making it up as they went along. The highlight of the trip together was their unplanned detour to Idaho where they fell in love with the Tetons and the beautiful night sky.

In November of 2020, Lacey chose a new job path and moved back to Oberlin, where she started work as a travel nurse. The distance between the two of them wasn't easy, but they persevered. After Lacey's kids finished their school year in Oberlin, they moved to Gibbon to be with Zach and his son. They moved into their first home together in July 2021.

Lacey and Zach enjoy traveling with their friends and their kids. Since they started dating, they have been to Cancun, South Padre, Cabo and Colorado. During their travels they enjoy hitting up new breweries and distilleries. They have other destinations on their bucket list including Arizona and a trip back to Idaho.

Zach decided to bite the bullet and propose to Lacey Easter weekend 2024 while visiting her parent's house. Despite how busy life can be with their kids, work and other activities, Lacey and Zach enjoy spending evenings together sipping on a cocktail and watching new and old shows on TV. Zach has "opened Lacey's eyes" to good shows and movies!

Zach and Lacey are looking forward to making many new memories together and with their children. We look forward to having all our family and friends celebrate our special day with us!
