It all started on New Year's Eve of 2016. We were both out at the Power and Light District when we met through a mutual friend (shoutout Lexen). We found out we both went to K-State, but just had never met before then. We hung out for the rest of the night, and again a couple of days later for our first "date." That started off with Tyler on his way to Laci's apartment, but his car broke down on the side of the road, so he had to call her for a ride from the tire shop down the street. After that, we went to a small bar for dinner and both ordered chicken strips and a bucket of beer in true Tyler and Laci fashion. After our first date, we continued to hang out mostly every day and Tyler made it official after about a month together.

A few years (and a few dogs later), Tyler pulled off the most amazing proposal to a very clueless Laci at her favorite spot- KC Wine Co. He originally planned a trip to Hawaii for us with his family, where he planned to propose, but we had to cancel the trip due to COVID. Even though he had to rearrange all of his plans, he was able to completely surprise Laci with the proposal, and was able to get our friends and loved ones together to celebrate afterwards.
