The beginning ~

Kyle and Lacy met September 28th, 2018 in their best friends wedding, Nick & Morgan Kormann. Kyle was a groomsmen and Lacy a bridesmaid both with no plus 1's (was it a setup?) Little did they know...they would be each others forever plus 1's. Lacy living in Chicago at the time, and Kyle living in Charlotte, they both came back to Kansas City for the wedding where they both had roots. Lacy grew up in Kansas, Kyle moved to Kansas for work right after college and lived there for 4 full years. That night Kyle says he "played hard to get", but Lacy knew how to play the game. They had great conversation the night of the wedding, and hung out until they parted ways not thinking they would talk to each other again... or did they?

The contact that started it all ~

After the wedding in Kansas City, Lacy and Kyle both went back to their cities and their lives. Lacy kept thinking about "that nice, cute guy" at the wedding, so thought she would reach out to Morgan to get his number.... also, she hadn't heard from him yet, so she had to make the first move. After getting his number, Lacy text Kyle while he was golfing with his family in North Carolina. After receiving a page long text back from him about how he was and his very descriptive golf game, Lacy quickly realized... she could like this guy!

The initial date ~

Kyle and Lacy continued to text each other throughout the months, but lost touch around the holidays. It wasn't until January 7th that Kyle FINALLY text Lacy back - but this was a different text. "Hi Lacy, this is Kyle , I just landed in Chicago for work and was wondering if you would like to go to dinner?" Kyle's company has their warehouse in Schaboygan Wisconsin, which was about 2 hours away from Chicago. So Lacy took a chance, even tho they hadn't been talking and thought "well I better go have dinner, because who knows if I will see him again." After their first "date" Lacy text and called her girlfriends and said "I'm going to marry this guy!"

Long Distance ~

Lacy and Kyle continued to date long distance for over a year, Kyle building in work trips to see Lacy, and Lacy flying to Charlotte to spend time with Kyle and his family. After a year, they both knew it was time to figure out where they were going to live together and really start their lives. After job interviews, tough conversations, and lots of tears - God pointed them both back to Kansas City.

They moved into their apartment in March, Lacy starting a new job March 9th - going into quarantine that next week. They went from long distance to quarantine all within a month!

The Proposal ~

What Lacy thought was a family photo shoot for her mom's Christmas present, turned out to be an engagement photo shoot! Kyle proposed to Lacy at the Barn at Kill Creek on Saturday November 28th , with friends and family to celebrate! Thank gosh for FaceTime, as they were able to include Kyle's family from afar on the most special day.

The Wedding ~

Kyle and Lacy decided to get married in Nashville, TN because this is a half way point between both families and driving distance for everyone. They fell in love with the Bridge Building, and can't wait to celebrate their big day with their family & friends.
