Ollie and I were introduced by my cousin Teighaja. At first I declined her offer because she was the absolute worst when setting me up on dates. However, she tricked me into meeting her for lunch and showed me his picture. Her exact words were, “Here babe, just look at his picture!” Once I saw him I changed my mind. This was the guy that dissed me when I tried “shooting my shot” at him leaving the grocery store. I’ll never forget that day. He was walking in and I was walking out. He was dressed in his work uniform, I was dressed in a pair of gym shorts and a tank. I smiled in his direction and nodded hello. He looked at me, straightened his shirt and walked past me. I tuned up my face and thought to myself, “that’s why his feet are going to hurt in those huaraches”.
I told her that she could introduce us. I wanted to meet the man that igged me —face to face.
