Laila came from the mountains of North Carolina when she started her journey as a traveler in cardiac sonography. Her travels brought her to the prairies of central Illinois where she worked with Michael who was an RN at a Peoria hospital. Love at first sight doesn't happen often but it was only a few days after meeting Laila that Michael asked her to go on their first date. One date turned into a whole weekend of talking, laughing, and falling in love. Less than a week later and Michael asked Laila to be his girlfriend and only eight months later he was on one knee on the beach of Gulf Shores asking Laila for her heart. Laila never thought she would find happiness in the corn fields of the Midwest but God had other plans. The two lovers who spent their entire lives apart are now inseparable and looking forward to the best day of their lives on their wedding day.Michael and Laila have many interests between the two of them: hiking, playing pickleball, watching movies, baking, and exploring the area and trying new foods. They go to church together and Michael plays the drums for the worship band while Laila cheers him on. Michael is teaching Laila to play golf, and they both love a good competitive board game. Laila likes to read mystery novels and while she does that Michael will play video games but they both know there's nothing better than just being together.The world has so much more in store for these two who plan to travel the country together through work. There's no telling where God will lead them but they know as long as they're together they can handle anything.

Wedding Party

**Only the Wingate will provide shuttle service for drop-off and pick-up from Reception only**

For those who want to leave their vehicle at the hotel, a shuttle will leave Wingate at 4:30 pm to bring guests to the reception after the wedding ceremony. Two shuttles will return guests to the Wingate at 9:30 pm &amp; 11:00 pm after the reception.
