Jose Maria Orozco boarded his horse-drawn wagon and headed north from Old Town San Diego to claim a piece of land covering three square leagues, approximately 13,298 acres. The property was a gift from the Mexican Governor of California, Pio Pico, who had handed out similar vast parcels to other friends and patrons. What is the dress code?

For our wedding, we ask that guests dress in semi-formal or dressy cocktail attire. We will be celebrating within the beautiful California mountains and although the October afternoon sun will be warm, temperatures may drop later in the evening. Consider layering or bringing a light jacket just incase!That being said, majority of our venue will be outdoors. Please keep in mind that most areas between sites will have gravel. Chunky heels or flats are recommended for easier navigation (instead of skinny heels). Shown below is the color scheme we chose for this event. That said, please know that there’s absolutely no pressure to match these colors—feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and happy! We just wanted to give our wedding a little theme, but your personal style is what matters most to us.

There are a couple things we love to do!

Old Town is the birthplace of California, with preserved historical buildings, museums, shops, and restaurants that give a glimpse of life in the 19th century. Our favorite restaurant is Cafe Coyote! We highly recommend their Chipotle Camarones!

A beautiful coastal park offering dramatic cliffs and incredible sunset views. It’s a great place for a peaceful walk or to relax and watch the sun dip below the Pacific Ocean.Fun Fact: This is where Dominic proposed to Lailene!
