Vincent and Laine met online through Hinge during the height of COVID in July 2020. To keep it low pressure (and because of COVID), their first date was virtual! Vincent suggested they pick each other's restaurant for a dinner date.

Over their date, they bonded over their love of food and talked for almost two hours. At this point, Laine was certain that Vincent wasn't secretly a murderer, so their first in person date was shortly after at Cochon and the rest is history.

They have had the opportunity to travel the world together, dote on their loving cats, and enjoy each other's company and make each other better people and partners.

Vincent proposed to Laine at City Park in December 2023, where they often feed ducks together.
