Jacob and Lainey met in 2018 at Great Savior Baptist Church. Jacob became close with Lainey's family, but when Jacob moved back home from WGTC, they parted ways as friends who talked once a year on December 28th to tell each other happy birthday. In 2020, Jacob and Lainey began their relationship after Lainey decoded an anonymous message that Jacob had sent to her via social media. On March 15, 2020 they went on their first date to Gallery Row Coffee in Carrollton, GA. There was an immediate connection, and Jacob and Lainey both knew very early on that this was a forever kind of love. The two spent three and a half years dating, soaking up every second together while traveling between Carrollton and Powder Springs, through the rest of their time in college and as they have started their careers. Through all that life has thrown their way, the Lord has brought them closer together as His plan for their future together became clear. On October 29, 2023 Jacob took Lainey back to the place where it all started, Gallery Row Coffee, and proposed. It was the most perfect, intimate yet public, wonderful proposal. The couple are ecstatic about planning their wedding to share with their closest friends and family, and feel so blessed to be loved by so many. Jacob and Lainey are counting down the days until they get to start their lives together, and are thanking God every day for the blessing of their love for each other.
