Once in a Lifetime

Picture of Once in a Lifetime

James and I initially began conversing on a dating platform called pof (lol) out of sheer boredom. I was simply messing around on the site. To make a long story short, he sent me a lengthy paragraph assuming I would read it all, so I left him on read (lol). However, for some reason, he lingered in my thoughts. Two weeks passed, and I decided to check if he had written anything else, but he hadn't. I then informed him that I am not active on the platform, so if he wanted to talk, he knew what to do. I logged off for another two weeks and noticed that he had left his phone number. I called him, but he didn't answer, so I deleted his number thinking "child bye." Thirty minutes later, he called back, mentioning that he had been waiting for my call. He explained that he was at work and would call during his break. True to his word, he did. That night turned out to be life-changing for me. It felt like GOD had shown me everything I had prayed for in a man, and deep down, I felt like he was the one. When we met, he expressed the same sentiments I had been thinking. He looked into my eyes and declared, "YOU ARE MY WIFE, AND I'M GOING TO MARRY YOU." In my playful manner, I responded, "James, yeah right, we'll see." We faced our fair share of challenges, but they only brought us closer together. I was amazed at how we grew on each other, and our love became unbreakable. I may have been the first to say "I love you," but he felt it first. I could continue, but there's no need because on July 20th, we will celebrate our love together. I love you, James. As the saying goes, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the lord" Proverbs 18:22.
