It all started when Autumn was visiting her friend, Christina (not pictured), in the Bay for the Walk for Life in SF. The night before the walk, they went to Mavericks Country Bar with the rest of Catholic Dance Crew. Lam's interest was piqued and he approached Autumn and asked if she knew how to two-step. When she answered no, he pushed her out to the dance floor. They danced the night away while shouting over the noise to get to know each other.

After mass, Lam and Autumn walked through downtown SF as advocates for the most vulnerable and talked along the way about faith, friends, family, and work.

Lam spent all morning writing, rewriting, and practicing a script. After mass, he asked Autumn on a date before she left for Oregon. She said yes. They made some dumplings for Lunar New Year and then off to Los Altos Grill they went. Early morning mass at Our Lady of Peace, bagels, and a car ride to San Leandro followed the next day before they parted ways.

Lam paid an absurd amount of money to fly to Redmond, OR for 31 hours. While there, Lam and Autumn hiked Smith Rock, swing danced, and decided that a relationship was something they both wanted to pursue.

Autumn returned to the Bay. After picking her up, Lam took her to a restaurant and asked her to be his girlfriend officially. She obviously said yes.

During their first trip to San Luis Obispo, CA, at the statue of Our Lady that Lam had prayed next to almost every night during college, the first round of "I love you" was said.

Autumn moved to the Bay to be closer to Lam. Long distance no more!

To conclude a whirlwind of Holy Week missions, on Easter Sunday, Lam proposed in the most unique of ways :) Autumn said yes to forever with her best friend.
