Landry and I met each other through family and friends of our parents, and it all began when we were on a deer lease together back in 2012. I was an 11 year old freckle-faced girl with brown hair, and he was a 10 year old blonde headed boy with glasses. One evening my dad and his friends took us out on the mule. We rode around and shot up things. While riding, out of nowhere Landry told me, “I was the most beautiful girl in the world,” and he asked me for my #! I told him that all I had was an Ipod. After that weekend, we would see each other on occasion, since we lived in different towns.

During my junior year of high school, I decided to ask Landry to go to my prom. I went to the Henderson County Livestock Show to watch him show his pig. Of course, he had no idea I was there…but his mom and dad knew. I went to where Landry was putting up his pig, and threw him an underhanded fast pitch “Promposal” - a baseball that had the words, “I might Strike-out asking, but will you go to prom with me!” He said YES! From that day on, we talked back and forth and hung out. On May 11, 2018, we went on our first date. After we got back to his house Landry asked me…so… are we official now? I covered my face, even though it was dark outside, and told him yes. We have been stuck like glue for almost 6 years fishing, deer hunting, duck hunting, dove hunting, disc golf, and hanging out with our friends and families.

On December 25, 2023, while wearing pajamas and posing for his family Christmas picture, Landry dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES! I am thankful The Good Lord made him the one for me! We could not be more excited to continue this amazing journey together.
