Getting to Wintergreen:

• Charlottesville-Albemarle (CHO) is the closest airport at about an hour’s drive from the venue.

• Richmond International (RIC) and Dulles International (IAD) are larger airports with more flight options. Richmond is ~2 hours away, and Dulles is ~3 hours away.

• We recommend renting a car, as public transportation to the resort is limited.

• Carpooling with other guests is also a great option if you’re arriving around the same time.

• Uber/Lyft service may be limited once you’re at the resort, so plan ahead for transportation!

Driving Notes:

• The resort sits at the top of the mountain, so expect winding roads. If you’re prone to motion sickness, pack some Dramamine.

• In case of rain or fog, allow extra time for the drive.

• The drive up offers gorgeous views — worth rolling down the window and enjoying the Blue Ridge beauty!

Where to Stay:

• Rooms are available at the resort itself, but book early — they fill up quickly.

• Airbnb and Vrbo offer houses and condos on the mountain, perfect for groups or families.

• If you prefer staying off the mountain, check out lodging in Waynesboro, Nellysford, or Charlottesville. These towns have hotels and B&Bs within 30–45 minutes of the venue.

• Note that many of the resort amenities can only be used by guests, so keep this in mind if you are considering staying elsewhere.
