Our paths were meant to cross long before we ever knew each other. Lara’s best friend was Deegan’s RA during sophomore year at DU, and Lara lived right down the hall - but we didn’t meet until nearly 2 years after graduation.

After hanging out at a friend’s dinner party, we were both interested in one another, but it wasn’t until Deegan’s friend told him that Lara seemed interested that he made the first move.

A few weeks later, Deegan overheard Lara and her friend making plans to get pedicures. Without too much thought, Deegan interjected and said, “I could really use a pedicure after ski season.”

Anything to get the girl.

They hit it off, and after pedicures were over, Deegan needed another chance to see her. He brought Lara a few study snacks later that night, and the rest is history.
