There are many Airbnb's and vacation rentals available in Somerset and the surrounding area. Hotels are also available in Plymouth and Placerville which are about 30 minutes away from the venue. Check our Accommodations tab for some options.

Our wedding will take place outdoors and the weather will likely be warm during the day. Shaded seating areas and beverages will be available for guests who arrive early for the ceremony.

Semi-formal is kindly requested. Since the wedding will be held outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes without heals to avoid sinking into the grass. The venue also has areas with dirt, so don't wear your favorite shoes if you are worried about them getting dirty.

We kindly request that you arrive at the venue no later than 5pm to avoid disruptions during the ceremony.

For the safety of all guests and the threat of fires, smoking is taken very seriously at The Ranch. All smoking must be contained in the designated smoking area (circular stone driveway in front of the red barns). Please dispose of all by-products in the provided garbage containers. Smoking in any other areas at The Ranch is strictly forbidden. Anyone found walking around smoking, smoking in any buildings or outside of the designated area will cause us to incur a $500 fine.

The town of Somerset is in a remote area and no Uber or Lyft services are available. A complimentary shuttle will be available Saturday, June 27th from 10pm-1am for who are unable to drive back to their accommodations, however, any cars left at the venue must be retrieved by 9:30am on Sunday, June 28th. The Ranch at Stoney Creek does not have a curfew, so the party will go on well into the night. We recommend arranging transportation in advance. Somerset is located in a remote area surrounded by foothills and can be difficult to navigate at night.

Sacramento International Airport is the closest. Somerset is about 1 hour southeast of Sacramento.

Your presence at our wedding is already a gift. If you wish to bring a gift, you are welcome to contribute any amount to our Honeymoon fund or purchase an item from our registry.
