Ang Aming Kwento

The year was 2012, Barack Obama was reelected President of the United States, the first screening of The Avengers movie occurred, Taylor Swift had just released "Red," and you couldn't listen to the radio without Carly Rae Jepsen asking you to call her (maybe).

That same year, it was summer. She was 15, and he was 17 at the time. You see, he was always an introvert, the opposite of her. Through a mutual friend, we met over a call. Over the next few weeks, we texted each other regularly. We discovered that we had a lot in common, including a love of nature, travel, and the outdoors.

We couldn't help but be intrigued. We searched for each other online on Facebook and added one another. We eagerly awaited our conversations every day, knowing we wanted to meet in person.

A week before the end of summer, we finally met face-to-face. From that day on, we were inseparable.

We attended the same university, celebrated graduations and birthdays, held several jobs, traveled thousands of roundabouts from Jhocson to Sta. Clara, and had countless adventures in and out of Manila. We discovered new places and watched hundreds of "How I Met Your Mother" episodes. Then, Lyanna came into our lives, and we decided to get civilly married.

I can't help but feel overjoyed and overwhelmed because our biggest and most exciting adventure is finally happening! After waiting so long—over a decade and two —we're finally tying the knot with a blessing from the Lord in our dream church wedding. Now we're finally here, my love. It would bring us immense joy to have you share in the celebration of our love story.
