My cousin by blood, but my sister in every way that matters. Keyla is my ride-or-die, my protector, my safe space, and one of the most loyal people I know. She loves deeply, shows up fully, and has been a steady presence through every season of my life. Having her stand beside me means everything.

We started as cousins, but over the years Devin became so much more—a soul-friend and one of the most beautiful constants in my life. From cheer coaching days to late-night roommate talks, she has always shown up with grace, love, and words of affirmation that have carried me through so many seasons. Her intentional love and the way she speaks life into others have impacted me more than words can explain. Being by her side during her wedding season was an honor, and now having her by mine feels like divine timing.

It’s only right that the woman who introduced me to the love of my life is standing beside me as I marry him. Shantella is more than our matchmaker—she’s been a light in my life in so many ways. From birthdays to cruises to life moments in between, she has always shown up with warmth, wisdom, laughter, and honesty. Her big sister energy, golden heart, and joyful spirit make her truly one of a kind, and I’m so grateful to have her standing with me on this day.

You are my baby, my heart in human form, and my greatest blessing. From the moment I became your mother, everything in me shifted—my purpose, my strength, and my dreams all became rooted in loving you and guiding you. You’ve shaped me in ways I can’t even fully explain, and every step I take in life, including this one, is with you in mind. My niecey pooh who turned into a young woman I’m so proud of. I remember you going to school from my house, full of joy and light, and now I’ve watched you grow into someone who carries herself with grace, maturity, and strength. From your dance journey to a track star, I’ve seen you grow in every way that matters. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Kennedy is my goddaughter and my niece. She is a sweet reminder of love, joy, and blessings in my life. She brings a light that is pure and effortless, and having her included in this day is something I deeply cherish. She represents hope, happiness, and the beauty of the love that surrounds our family. I’m so grateful she’s part of this journey.

My nephew Akir, aka Tuggy, is my flower boy and one of the brightest parts of my life. He’s high-energy, full of personality, loves to dance, and has the sweetest ‘Sour Patch Kid’ spirit. He gives the absolute best ‘love tights’ (hugs) in the world, and on our wedding day, he’ll also be helping us ‘level up’ in life in his own special way. Having him be part of this day brings so much joy and heart to our celebration.

Devon II, better known as Deuce, is our ring security and one of the sweetest, most quietly special parts of this day. He’s calm, observant, and has a gentle spirit that brings a quiet kind of joy wherever he goes. While he may be more on the shy side, his role is an important one, and having him stand with us adds so much meaning and love to our celebration

Bryson is our second ring security and the younger half of our little security team. He’s energetic, playful, and full of personality, but he takes his time warming up to new people—which just makes his love even more special once you have it. Having him be part of this day, alongside his brother, adds so much joy, balance, and heart to our celebration.
