Camilow, as Laura likes to call him and Lourah, as he calls her; have been in each others lives indirectly since their teen years. Camilo went to the same high school with Caro, Laura’s sister or Diana as her friends and husband call her; and two of Laura’s closest cousins Natalia and Milena or Ana as most of you know her. Camilo and Milena had Spanish class together and they were part of the same friend group. Laura had no idea of Camilo’s existence and vise versa, as Laura was still in middle school and she also attended a different high school ,but they both knew a lot of the same people.


Then came young adulthood, Laura’s and Camilo’s paths started to intertwine, but still in a vey superficial way. Laura knew Camilo’s closest friends Julian, Eduardo, and Jose from the rumbas. Laura and Camilo would occasionally find echo other at the same rumbiaderos, but never crossed words. Per, Camilo, he had been crushing on Laura for years, but never had the courage to talk to her. 



Camilo finally built the courage and slid into Laura’s DMs for Laura’s birthday in 2019. He wished her a Happy Birthday, she thanked him and they never spoke again until later that year. When Laura posted a story about a soccer match that Selección Colombia lost. Camilo replied to her story. They started talking about the game and continued to talk about soccer, which they are both passionate about. Laura is hincha del Deportivo Independiente Medellín and Camilo is hincha de Atlético Nacional. Both teams represent Medellin, city where Laura was born and both teams have HUGE rivalries. Laura and Camilo continued to sporadically talk through DMs mainly about soccer. 



The pandemic hit! Laura was living her best life hibernating at home or quarantining as they call it nowadays. Laura took COVID very seriously as she still lives with her adored parents Doña Estela “la chica” y John. Laura mainly stayed at home in 2020. She went from home to work and from work to home. Her most exiting outings that year were trips to the grocery store. Laura and Camilo continued to talk very rarely /occasionally through DMs.



2021 came, Laura and Camilo continued to be insta friends. Camilo was a guaranteed like in any of Laura’s posts. To his defense, she doesn’t post much. At about mid year, when covid was starting to normalize, he finally built the courage to ask her out. Laura was not very interested, however her mom convinced her to go out. Laura was spending way too much time at home and mom was starting to worry. Since, Laura was not too convinced about hanging out, she told camilo she was not available to hang out that weekend, but could possibly in the following two weeks. This was Laura’s way to politely decline the invitation, but still left the door slightly open for Camilo. The ball was now on his court. 



Two weeks passed,and Camilo decided to confirm the offer. Laura agreed and they meet at Santiago’s Bodega, Altamonte Springs. Laura got there looking all cute, and Camilo had the audacity to SHOW UP LATE. How rude! Anyways.. Laura walked up to the hostess to ask for a table and Camilo walked in a few minutes after. The hostess escorted them to a table in the patio. Laura ordered a coke and he did too. They started talking and hardly payed attention to the menu. Every time time the waitress came to take their food order, they weren’t ready. Camilo told Laura his whole life story. Laura felt like she was listening to an episode of Rosa de Guadalupe or Mujer Casos de la Vida Real. Each story seemed harder and sadder than the one prior. Laura also shared stories about her family who she is extremely close with, Emma the most recent addition to her family, work, hobbies and so on. In short, the conversation went so organically, that they barely had time to order any tapas. He ordered quesadillas, which he did not like and she ordered a ceviche. Talk about a cheap date. Next thing they knew the restaurant was nearly empty and the restaurant crew was already cleaning and preparing for closing. Camilo walked Laura to her car and asked her for her phone number. Laura gave it to him, and reiterated her name “Laura Arboleda” Camilo looked at her like okay? and kinda rolled his eyes. They hugged and went their separate ways. Laura left feeling like she found a new friend and per Camilo, he left with every intention of ghosting her. If that was the case, why did he ask for her phone number? 



Apparently Camilo’s intentions to ghost Laura didn’t last very long. HE TEXTED HER the very next evening. To clarify, for Camilo to ghost Laura SHE would have had to text him first, which knowing Laura, it was 100% NOT HAPPENING and THEN he would have had to never reply back to her, which let’s be honest he would have, but I guess he doesn’t know how ghosting works. Anyways, back to the point, Laura and Camilo continued to sporadically text. Laura, gave Camilo the Alia’s “Claritin” as their text conversations were every 8-12 hrs in between responses if not days. They NEVER talked on the phone, but they did hang out once a week typically on Saturday’s or Sunday’s after their first date. 



On one of their first dates, Camilo invited Laura and Emma to the dog park, where he nearly killed Em, but that’s a story for another day. Emma is a very sassy chihuahua, cutest little thing you’ll ever see. However, she doesn’t like many people, not even her mommy, Laura. When she meets anyone she goes in for the bite and barks her little heart out. It’s kinda of annoying, but she’s so cute though. When Em met Camilo, she did not bark at him once, she sniffed him and took an INSTANT liking to him. With Em in the bag, Camilo continued to pursuit Laura.



Time passed, Laura and Claritin continued to get closer, although everything was strictly platonic. On thanksgiving break 2021, Camilo invited Laura to Savanna with his niece Camila and his close friends Eduardo, Julian and their families. The trip didn’t go too well for Laura and Camilo, it was a bit awkward for some reason. Camila, Julian, Eduardo and their families received Laura very well, but for some reason Laura and Camilo were not vibing. Laura returned from the trip with every intention to let things fade with Camilo and so did he. However, when he dropped her off at her house, her parents came out and invited both Camilo and Camila to come in. They stayed at the Arboleda Echeverri household for a while and chatted with her parents. At the end of the night, Doña Estela invited Camilo to día de las velitas at Caro’s home and John invited him to return any time a tomarse unos whiskies. Laura made a comment like “no thank you”, but Camilo clapped back saying “don’t worry you don’t have to be present, I can hang out with them on my own”. They all laughed, and went on their way.. 



Laura’s and Camilo’s friendship started to cool down and nearly started to fade away after the trip. This platonic love was hanging on by a thread. Día de las velitas came. Caro and Doña Estela convinced Laura to invite Camilo over. He was the last one to get there, where he reunited with Natalia and Milena which he knew from high school. He also meet, Manu, Mafeo, and Soph, Laura’s sobrinos and Jorge, Carolina’s husband, along with Jorge’s side of the family. Camilo fit right in and everyone had a great time. 



Camilo was then invited to Milena’s house for New Year’s Eve where he made a triumph entrance into the rest of the family. Camilo got so happy contento with a Buchanan’s Deluxe bottle he had gifted Laura’s dad for Christmas (he gifted it but practically drink it all on his own that night) that he walked through Milena’s glass door shattering it to peaces. 



2022 came and Laura and Camilo started getting closer together. He was invited to all her family event, Tia Marina’s 80th birthday, Libby’s collage graduation etc. Laura also met camilo’s adoptive family, Ada, Juan, and Gisela along with Camila’s mom Zuli and her sister “Saritah”. A few weeks after their official noviazgo, which we’ll get to in a minute, Laura also met Camilo’s adored Tia Georgiana and a few other of his family members. On April 3, 2022 at 7:23pm at the I4 interception with Princeton on their way to Icon Park, Camilo officially asked Laura to be his girlfriend by giving her a ring she had left I his car the day before. The temperature was 73* F. They celebrated el cuadre, by eating crepes at iCafe de Paris and going to iLounge Istanbul, Laura’s favorite hookah bar and place to chill with her besties Andrea and Vicky 



As time has gone by, Laura and Camilo have enjoyed traveling together. They’ve mostly been to Tampa numerous times (lol), but have also traveled to Bogota, Santa Marta, Cancun, Miami and their latest foreign vacation was a tour of Italy. 



Camilow, finally proposed in Rome, Italy on March 11, 2023, after their tour of the Roman Colosseum , in a restaurant right across the street. They had a beautiful view of the Colosseum although they were seated inside, as the wait for outdoor dining was too long and Laura was starving. Caro, had made reservations at RoYal Art Cafe where Camilo was Intended to propose however, Laura being the little spoil brat she is demanded they eat right that second so they crossed the street and eat at Restaurant La Biga Ristoracaffé. Where they were served by no other than two paisas. 



Camilo decided to propose at the end of dinner, with a dirty table. Everyone got up to leave the booth when suddenly Camilow goes down in one knee and is holding an empty ring box and popped the question. Laura was in shock. She thought he was playing a joke on her, as they often joked around proposal opportunities. Camilow continued to be down in one knee and assured her this was not a joke, when he realized the ring box was empty. He quickly turned the box around and showed her the ring. Laura was still in disbelief, but then it hit her. She exclaimed put it on! Yes! and they kissed. Yes! In front of her parents !! Lol!! If you know them, you know why that’s a big deal. Laura, Camilo and her family continued their Italy tour and had an amazing engagement trip.

Camilow, como Laura le gusta llamarlo y Lourah como a él le gusta llamarla; an estado en sus vidas indirectamente desde su adolescencia. Camilo fue al mismo colegio de Caro, hermana de Laura o Diana como la llaman sus amigos y esposo; junto a dos de sus primas más allegadas Natalia y Milena o Ana como mucho de ustedes la conocen. Camilo y Milena fueron a clase de español juntos y hacían parte del mismo grupo de amigos. Laura no sabía de la existencia de Camilo y viceversa, ya que Laura asistía a otro Colegio, pero ellos conocían mucha gente en común. 



Terminaron su adolescencia, los camino de Laura y Camilo empezaron a entrelazar pero de una forma muy superficial. Laura conocía a sus mejores amigos: Julián, Eduardo y José de las rumbas. Laura y Camilo de ves en cuando se encontraban en las rumbas pero nunca cruzaron palabra. Según Camilo Laura le tramaba desde hace mucho tiempo, pero nunca tubo el coraje de hablarle. 



Camilo por fin tubo el coraje y le mando un mensaje directo deseándole feliz cumpleaños por Instagram en el 2019. Ella le agradeció y no se hablaron casi hasta el final de ese mismo año. Un día Laura subió una historia de un partido de la selección Colombia el cual perdió. Camilo reaccionó a esa historia, ellos continuaron hablando del partido y de fútbol lo cual les apasiona a los dos. Laura es hincha del Deportivo Independiente Medellín y Camilo es hincha de Atlético Nacional ambos equipos de Medellín ciudad donde nació Laura, ambos equipos tienen una gran rivalidad. Laura y Camilo siguieron hablando esporádicamente sobre fútbol por mensajes directos en Instagram. 



¡La pandemia llegó! Laura estaba viviendo su mejor vida invernardo en su casa o en cuarentena como le dicen ahora, Laura se tomó el COVID muy enserio ya que ella todavía vive con sus padres: Doña Estela “la chica” y John. Laura se la pasaba en la casa iba de su trabajo a la casa y sus salidas eran al supermercado, Laura y Camilo continuaron hablando por mensajes directo. 



Llego el 2021, Laura y Camilo siguieron siendo “instaamigos” Camilo era el me gusta garantizado de los contenidos de Laura. En su defensa ella casi no sube contenido. A mitad de año cuando el COVID empezó a normalizar, Camilo por fin tomó el coraje de invitarla a salir. Laura no estaba muy convencida pero, Doña Estela la convenció que saliera. Laura estaba pasando mucho tiempo en su casa y su mamá empezó a preocuparse. Como Laura no estaba muy convencida en querer salir, le dijo a Camilo que en dos semanas podría estar disponible. Esta fue la manera más cordial que ella encontró para rechazar la invitación pero al mismo tiempo dejó la puerta un poco abierta para Camilo, el balón ahora estaba en su territorio. 



Pasaron dos semanas y Camilo decidió confirmar la oferta. Laura accedió y se encontraron en Santiago’s bodega, Altamonte Springs. Laura llegó muy linda y Camilo tubo la audacia de llegar tarde, que descaro. En fin… ella entro y pidió mesa y Camilo llegó unos minutos más tarde la mesera los acompaño hasta la mesa en el patio, Laura ordenó una Coca-Cola y el también. Empezaron a hablar y no le pusieron cuidado a el menú; siempre que llegaba la mesera a tomar la orden ellos no estaban listos. Camilo le contó toda su vida a Laura y mientras ella se sentía como si estuviera escuchando un episodio de la Rosa de Guadalupe o Mujer Casos de la Vida Real, cada historia era más dura y triste que la anterior. Laura también le contó parte de su vida, habló de su familia a la cual ella es muy cercana, Emma la mas reciente integrante de la familia, su trabajo y sus hobbies. En resumen, la conversación fue tan orgánica que casi no tuvieron tiempo de ordenar tapas. El ordeno unas quesadillas las cuales no fueron de su agrado y ella un ceviche, le salió barata la salida. De un momento a otro se percataron que el restaurante estaba casi vacío, los trabajadores del restaurante estaban limpiando, preparando para cerrar el lugar. El la acompaño hasta el carro y le pedio su teléfono a lo que Laura accedió lo anoto y le recalco su nombre “Laura Arboleda”, Camilo la miro raro y voltio sus ojos se abrazaron y cada uno siguió su camino. Laura se fue pensando que había hecho un nuevo amigo. Camilo se fue con toda la intención de desaparecercele. ¿si esa era su intención, para que le pidió su teléfono?



Aparentemente las intenciones de perdérsele no le duraron mucho tiempo a Camilo ya que el fue quien le mando un mensaje de texto a la siguiente noche. Aclaró, para que Camilo pudiera desaparecercele a Laura ella tendría que haberle mandado un mensaje de texto primero, conociendo a Laura era un 100% que eso no iba a pasar. Después tocaría que Camilo no le respondiera su mensaje, lo cual seamos honestos en el caso hipotético de que Laura le escribiera primero a Camilo, el si le respondería el mensaje, pero creo que Camilo no conoce el significado de desaparecer. En fin, devuelta al punto; Camilo y Laura siguieron textiando esporádicamente. Laura le dio el alias de “Claritin” a camilo ya que sus conversaciones de texto eran de cada 8 a 12 horas entre respuestas o aveces días para responder. Ellos nunca hablaron por teléfono pero si salían una vez por semana desde la primera cita. Casi siempre los Sábados o los Domingos. 



En una de sus primeras citas, Camilo invitó a Laura a llevar a Emma al parque de perros donde Camilo estuvo a punto de matar a Em pero esa es una historia para otro día. Emma es una chihuahua muy consentida, ¡la cosa más linda que veras en tu vida! no obstante a ella no le agradan mucho las personas incluyendo a su mami Laura. Cuando ella conoce gente nueva las muerde y les ladra demasiado es un poquito fastidiosa pero muy linda. Cuando Em conoció a Camilo nunca le ladró instantáneamente hicieron click, con Em metida en su bolsillo Camilo continuo persudiendo a Laura. 



El tempo pasó Laura y “Claritin” siguieron hablando aunque todo era estrictamente platónico. En la semana de acción de gracias en el 2021 Camilo invito a Laura a un paseo con su sobrina Camila, sus amigos cernámoos Julián, Eduardo y sus familias. En el paseo no les fue muy bien a ellos dos se sentían un poco incómodos. Camila, Julián, Eduardo y sus familias recibieron a Laura muy bien, pero por alguna razón Laura y Camilo no estaban vibrando. Laura regreso a su casa del paseo con toda la intención de dejar las cosas fallecer con Camilo y el también quería hacer lo mismo. No obstante cuando Camilo la dejo en su casa sus padres salieron e invitaron a Camilo y a Camila a entrar, todos entraron a la residencia Arboleda Echeverry a charlar un rato al final de la noche doña Estela invitó a Camilo al día de las velitas en la casa de Carolina y John lo invito a volver a la casa a tomarse unos whiskies, Laura hizo un comentario como de no gracias a lo que Camilo respondió: “no importa usted no tiene que estar presente yo puedo pasarla bueno solo con sus papás” todos se rieron y siguieron su camino. 



La relación entre Laura y Camilo comenzó a enfriarse este amor platónico estaba dependiendo de un hilo. Llego el día de las velitas, Caro y doña Estela convencieron a Laura para invitar a Camilo el fue el último en llegar allí se reencontró con Natalia y Milena las cuales conocía desde el Colegio también conoció a Manu, Mafeo y Soph sobrinos de Laura y Jorge esposo de Carolina y algunos de los familiares de Jorge. Camilo encajo perfectamente y todos tuvieron una divertida noche. 



Camilo después fue invitado a la casa de Milena para Año Nuevo y fue allí donde hizo su entrada triunfal al resto de la familia. Camilo se puso tan happy contento después de haberse tomado una botella de Buchanan’s deluxe Que le había regalado al papá de Laura de navidad (el le regalo la botella pero prácticamente el se la tomo solo esa noche) el atravesó la puerta de vidrio de la casa de Milena rompiéndola en pedacitos. 



Llego el 2022 y ellos empezaron a compaginar más. Camilo fue invitado a todos los eventos familiares como por ejemplo los 80 de la tía Marina, la graduación universitaria de Libby, etc. Laura también conoció la familia adoptiva de el: Juan, Ada y Gisela también a la Mama de Camila Zuly y la hermanita Saritah. Unas semanas después de su noviazgo oficial Laura también conoció a la tía adorada de Camilo Doña Georgina y algunos otros miembros de su Familia. El 3 de Abril de 2022 a las 7:23pm en la intersección de la I4 con Princeton de camino a Icon Park Camilo le pregunto oficialmente a Laura que fuera su novia dándole un anillo que ella había dejado el día anterior en su carro la temperatura era 73 grados Fahrenheit ellos celebraron el cuadre comiendo crepes en Icafe de Paris y después fueron a ilounge Istanbul el hookah bar favorito de Laura y sus mejores amigas Andrea y Vicky 
Como el tiempo fue construyendo laura y Camilo an disfrutado de viajar juntos. An ido a Tampa muchas veces (jajaja) pero también fueron Bogota, Santa Marta, Cancún, Miami y su más reciente paseo que fue un tour por toda Italia. 



Camilow por fin decidido proponerle matrimonio a Laura en Roma Italia el 11 de Marzo del 2023 después del tour que hicieron por el coliseo Romano en una restaurante pasando la calle el cual Tenía una hermosa vista al coliseo ellos fueron sentados adentro, ya que la espera para comer afuera era demasiado larga y Laura esta muerta del hambre. Caro hizo una reservación en un restaurante llamado Royal Art Cafe donde camilo tenía las Intenciones de de proponerle a Laura matrimonio. Laura empezó a desesperarse un poco y exigió comer en ese momento donde sea así que decidieron ir a comer al frente al restaurante La Biga Ristoracaffé. Donde fueron atendidos por nada y nada menos que dos meseros paisas. 



Camilo decidió proponer al final de la cena, con la mesa sucia. Todo el mundo se paro de la mesa cuando de repente Camilo se arrodilla y sosteniendo una caja vacía soltó la pregunta. Laura estaba en shock ella pensó que el estaba jugando, ya que ellos a cada rato hacían chistes referente a oportunidades perfectas para pedir matrimonio. Camilow sigue arrodillado asegurándole a ella que no es un chiste, cuando el se percató que la caja estaba vacía, el rápido la voltio y le mostró el anillo. Laura seguía incrédula pero después calló en cuenta. Ella le pidió que se lo pusiera y le dijo que si! Y se besaron, Si, enfrente de sus padres. Si ustedes los conocen saben por que es un gran acontecimiento. Laura, Camilo y su familia continuaron su tour por Italia y tuvieron un maravilloso viaje de compromiso. 



Laura y Camilo están muy emocionados para lo que ellos esperan sea para siempre. Ellos están encantados de invitarte a que los acompañes a continuar escribiendo su historia el 25 de Mayo de 2024 en Llano Grande, Antioquia Colombia. Por favor has tu reserva en esta página.
